mechanical engineering for the steel and nonferrous metals processing industry. It consists of the two Business
Areas SMS Siemag and SMS Meer. The two Business Areas operate as independent group companies that
cooperate closely with each other. As the fi nancial organization, SMS Holding GmbH is responsible for strategic
planning and controlling. The sole owner of the SMS group is Siemag Weiss GmbH & Co. KG, the holding of the
Weiss entrepreneurial family.
