The author brings into focus the Christian propaganda in Tirumala 

Hills as reported in the local Telugu Newspapers 

Hindu society is holding its head high with self-respect because 

of people who are practicing sadachara. Even so the attacks 

mounted by other religions on Hinduism are repeated day after day. 

This is most painful to note. 

The recent events that took place in Tirumala Tirupathi are 

disheartening to every Hindu. It is stunning to find that nearly 50 

Christian families are settled on Tirumala hill, and no less than 20 

persons of Christianity are employed in TT Devastanam. 

These families conducted Christmas prayers on the Tirumala Hill; 

which goes to prove the complacency of the TTD Board. These 

Christian elements are audacious enough to distribute Christian 

pamphlets to devotees going to Tirupathi Temple. What is the 

Devastanam’s vigilance department doing? Such brazen acts on the 

part of Christians make one suspect that these people are willynilly 

supported by the TTD Board. 

Added to this sad state of affairs is the latest move by the 

authorities recognizing Tirumala as a township with the temple 

jurisdiction restricted to 27.5 sq.km. This move it is widely believed 

is meant to make way for construction of Church(es?) on Tirumala 

hills. Above events lend evidence to this belief. Otherwise what is 

the reason to reduce the sacred seven hills area of 243 sq.km 

to 27.5 sq. km? They’re drastically reducing the jurisdiction of 

Devastanams? Reducing Lord Venkateswara’s seven hills to two hills 

is an affront to religious sentiments of Hindus. 

The Vice-Chancellor, Dean and other functionaries of Padmavati 

University are believing Christians and they are forcing the students 

to participate in Christian Prayers, taking them to Church in vehicles 

owned by the University, conducting Christian religious propaganda

in SV University Hostels, 

distributing Christian literature in 

educational institutions. 

The offerings made by devotees 

in Lord Balaji’s Hundi should be 

used only for Hindu religion, 

spiritual activities. With that object 

in view the Hindu Dharma Prachara 

Samstha was started in the year 

1968. But later in the year 1982 

the word Hindu was removed from 

its name changing it to Dharma 

Prachara Parishat. The motive 

behind the change in name is to 

divert the huge funds offered by 

the devotees to Lord Sri 

Venkateswara as token of their 

religious devotion to populist 

Government schemes. 

As part of that move Rs. 500 

crores worth of Hundi money is 

ought to be diverted in the name 

of “Irrigation Bonds”. How the 

religious funds are going to be 

spent is any one’s guess. Thus 

to divert the money offered by 

devotees with specific religious 

motives to non-religious purpose 

is a clear case of subversion of 

Hindu religion. 

Tirumala is the most sacred 

place. To convert it into a tourist, 

recreational center as the Govt. is 

planning, is the sure way to 

ultimately make it into a pleasure 

resort. This is reprehensible. 

If the sacred Tirumala Temple 

Township is degraded in this 

fashion, where is the place left for 

Hinduism? What is the fate of 

Hindu Society? 

Let us all wake up before it is 

too late. Let us resolve to fight out 

to protect the sanctity and property 

of sacred TT Kshetram through all 

possible democratic means. Let 

us resolve to denote all our mite 

and might in this regard.✰

Some Evidence from Telugu News Papers 

Distribution of Christian 

pamphlats in Tirumala - Bus 

No. AP11 Z 1130 belonging to 

RTC left Tirumala at 5.30 P.M. on 

Sunday 9.4.06 for Tirupathi. One 

Balaraju boarded the bus along 

with three others. They carried a 

handbag full of Christian Literature 

and started distributing the same 

to the passengers. The passengers 

objected to the distribution of 

Christian Pamphlets. Among those 

who objected was one Mr. Aravind 

a resident of Parimala Apartments 

of Kothapet, Hyderabad. (Andhra

Christian Propaganda in 

S.V.University – Students confront 

the Pastor: on 11th April 2006 

students belonging to TNSF and 

ABVP students unions obstructed 

the Christian carrying on 

propaganda within University 

campus. The enraged students 

vehemently opposed pastor 

Devasahayam and his cohorts. 

For the past two years a student 

inmate of room no. 126 of 

University Hostel E-Block has been 

conducting Christian gatherings by 

inviting priests. He is inducing 

some students to join the 

meetings. Offended by this 

unbecoming action, other students 

demanded the instigator to stop 

the activity. On Tuesday (12 th ) the 

Christian propagandist came to 

conduct meeting as usual. 

Students confronted him and told 

him to stop evangelism. Heated 

exchanges took place and the 

students expelled the intruder.

Search for Christians in TTD 

Employees Quarters : Christians 

residing in Tirumala are under 

surveillance. They were asked to 

leave Tirumala. As per the rules 

of TTD, Non-Hindus are barred 

from taking part in the work of 

Tirumala Temple or other Hindu 

religious programmes. Non-Hindus 

cannot be employed in Tirumala 

Temple establishment. Further as 

per the rules conduction non- 

Hindu religious propaganda or 

programmes in Tirumala will be 

considered an offence. In view of 

this, the TTD Officials have started 

identifying those employees who 

converted themselves to other 

religious after taking up job with 

TTD and such persons are mooted 

to be moved away from Tirumala. 

So far the officials identified some 

20 non-Hindus staying in TTD 

employees quarters. (Andhra

Sleepy Vigilance… TTD top 

brass displeased on Christian 

propaganda in Tirumala : 

Higher Officials of TTD feel that 

the failure of vigilance department 

led to the recent spurt in Christian 

propaganda in Tirumala. It came 

to their notice that some TTD 

employees converted to 

Christianity under various 

allurements played host to the 

evangelist activities. As such they 

are investigating the details of 

employee converts. Devasthanam

Another burst of Christian 

propaganda : A fresh round of 

Christian propaganda led to tense 

situation in Tirupathi. Christian 

evangelists swarmed on different 

institutions belonging to SV 

University, Padmavathi women’s 

University and other TTD run 

colleges on Thursday conducting 

aggressive propaganda. Reacting 

to this predatory activity, students 

and general public confronted the 

evangelists under the leadership of 

Ramesh Naidu, the ABVP National 

Executive Committee member. As 

a result tense situation prevailed 

at various colleges. Nearly 30 

women and 10 males were going 

round colleges to conduct Christian 

propaganda right inside college 

premises. They specially chose 

EAMCET exam centers to conduct 

their propaganda.

Christian Propaganda by 

TTD’s Asst. Excutive Officer 

(AEO) – A Devotee Complains 

to EO : “The TTD is one of the 

largest religious institutions in the 

world. A top official of a famous 

institution, like the AEO is resorting 

to Christian religious propaganda” 

– complains a Hindu devotee 

named Ramana hailing from 

punganur to the EO of TTD Mr. 

APVN Sarma. Ramana made the 

complaint while participating in the 

“Dial your EO” programme 

conducted by Television. He 

complained that Mr. Jayaram, AEO 

of TTD is propagating Christian 

religion.” A person in high rank in 

TTD working against TTD pains

Ropeway Proposal Cleared 

by TTD : The proposal of 

constructing a ropeway from Alipiri 

to Tirumala Hills to facilitate tourist 

is cleared by the TTD Board. The 

Board allocated two acres of land 

to the Tourism Department over 

the objections of the Agama 

advisory committee. Thus, the way 

is cleared for the Ropeway.

Govt. Covets Balaji’s wealth 

– attempts afoot to divert Rs.500 

crores : The Government is eyeing 

the huge funds of Lord 

Venkateswara to finance its 

popular schemes. It is trying to 

divert Rs. 500 crore of TTD funds 

into Irrigation Bonds. In the past 

Government passed some statutes 

to prevent such diversion of TTD 

funds. The present Government 

seeks to change those statutes. 

The Government proposes to 

change the name of “Hindu 

Religious Endowment” to “Religious 

Endowment” to remove hurdles to 

its proposed diversion of TTD funds.

Surveillance on non-Hindu 

Religious Propaganda on 

Tirumla surroundings – E.O. : 

The EO of TTD Mr. APVN Sarma 

said that as per rule 196 of TTD 

Act, no religious propaganda other 

than Hinduism is allowed within 

10.33 Sq miles area of the 

Kshetram. As per rule 197, those 

who reside in Tirumala Kshetram 

and those who work for TTD must 

be Hindus by religion, he said.

Note : The total area covered 

by the Seven Hills collectively 

called Tirumala are Seshachala, 

Vedachala, Garudachala, 

Anjanachala, Vrushabhachala, 

Narayanachala, Venkatachala, is 

about 100 Sq.miles (250sq.kms). 

whereas the Rural Development 

Department of Panchayatraj’s 

prohibits non-Hindu religious 

propaganda only in 10.33 sq. miles.

Simhachalam – Villagers 

Oppose : Religious conversion is

Simhachalam Temple vicinity. 

Some persons belonging to a 

foreign religion have been 

conducting evangelism among the 

tribals of Simhachalam and other 

localities for four days a week.

tribals but also among the 

devotees visiting the Simhachalam

The Temple authorities are 

perturbed to find posters 

propagating (non-Hindu) religion 

within the Rama Temple premises. 

On the festival occasion of 

Hanumat Jayanthi, devotees 

gathered in huge numbers found 

these obnoxious posters and 

informed the temple authorities.

THE CONSPIRACY OF SELECTIVE SILENCE 

When a mosque was 

demolished in India there was an 

international outcry, but nothing 

when a temple was destroyed in 

Malaysia 

A century-old Hindu temple was 

demolished in Malaysia despite 

devotees pleading with the 

authorities to stop the operations. 

Though the Malaysian Hindus were 

understandably upset, the Hindus 

in India did not react, which is fine. 

The Government of India did not 

react, which might have been right, 

had it not officially objected to the 

Danish Government about the 

publication of the Prophet’s cartoons 

in a Danish newspaper. The UPA 

Government had even suggested the 

Danish Prime Minister to postpone 

his visit to India. 

The International Herald Tribune 

published a cartoon depicting US 

President George Bush as Lord 

Shiva. Though an organisation, 

Indiacause, did find the cartoon 

offensive, most Hindus did not react 

to it. When Mohammed’s offensive 

cartoons were published, Muslims 

all over the world, including in India, 

protested. One must not forget that 

the cartoons were first published in 

September and the protests 

occurred months later. 

Hindus did not react similarly 

when the Malaimel Sri Selva 

Kaliamman temple was destroyed 

in Malaysia, nor when a Krishna 

temple was demolished in Moscow. 

Hindus are not obliged to react like 

Muslims when such incidents 

occur. Even many Muslims, though 

they might have been offended by 

the Danish cartoon, did not 

participate in the protests. But 

should not have the Government of 

India reacted in similar manner to 

these religious incidents? 

Secularism means treating all

religions equally. If the Government 

can officially object to the point of 

postponing a prime ministerial visit 

on cartoons of the Prophet being 

published in a Danish newspaper 

(which had nothing to do with the 

Government), how can it claim to 

be secular when it says nothing to 

another (Malaysian) country about 

demolition of a Hindu temple - an 

act which done by the Malaysian 

authorities? 

Perhaps the best policy would 

be not to react to religious incidents 

abroad, be it related to Hindus or 

Muslims. Religious occurrences 

abroad are not the affair of the 

Government of India, whether they 

involve the publication of offensive 

cartoons or demolition of Hindu 

temples. The UPA Government 

does seem to observe that policy, 

except in the case of Muslims. Is it 

fair to have different policies for 

different religions in a secular 

country? 

As for the world and the media, 

these too seem to have double 

standards when it comes to religion. 

There was a huge outcry when an 

unfrequented mosque was 

demolished in India, but nothing 

happened when a well-frequented 

temple was destroyed in Malaysia. 

Never mind that the temple was 

destroyed at a time when 300 

devotees were praying there. 

Now the Indian press has found 

some justification for reacting to the 

first incident, while ignoring the 

second - because the former 

incident happened in India, while the 

second occurred in a foreign country. 

But why should the global media 

create such a hue and cry over the 

destruction of a mosque in India, but 

remain silent over the demolition of 

a temple in Malaysia? ✰

Baba tarnished with unfounded 

accusations, the same media 

was in glee. 

• If one Swamiji is attacked it 

must be treated as an attack 

on all the Acharyas. 

• If Aksharadham or Ayodhya 

is sprayed with bullets and 

grenades, it is an all out 

attack on entire Hindu 

Samajam. 

• Modern versions of 

Duryodhana and Duhs’asana 

are conversionism and 

terrorism with their onslaughts 

to besiege Bharat.

and the covert/overt support it 

receives from “secular” political 

parties and media is very 

alarming. 

• Marxists hate everything that 

is sacred and beautiful in the 

Hindu heritage of our 

civilization. 

• The enemy is more dangerous 

because the methods used 

are highly sophisticated and 

there is an invisible network 

of apparently divergent groups 

but united in undermining the 

Hindu Samaajam. 

• Whatever enemy subjugated 

the nation, did it not because 

of their superior strength, but 

because they were helped by 

Hindus who did not realize 

the nature of the intolerant 

faiths who were governed by 

adharma. 

• In the guise of neo-liberalism, 

globalization has become the 

present-day mantra and 

westernization is eating at the 

very roots of Hindu society. 

• The intellectuals of India and 

our politicians today need 

dependable guidance to get 

out of the false glorification of 

Western ways of life and 

money as the measure of 

success. They have to be 

brought back to their age-old 

beautiful traditions of simple 

life and Seva to the poor. 

• Only Sanatana Dharma can 

offer a sustainable world order 

without perpetuating clashes 

in the name of faiths. 

• Hindu Acharyas should speak

REWARDING CONVERSIONS 

We reproduce below a letter 

written by the famous columnist 

and educationist Smt Sandhya 

Jain to the Chairman of the National 

Commission for Religious and 

Linguistic Minorities, Government 

of India, New Delhi 

This is to urge you strongly to 

kindly reject the motivated and illconsidered 

proposal to extend 

privileges provided under the 

Constitution for Scheduled Castes 

and Scheduled Tribes to converts 

to non-Hindu faiths. 

The demand by Christian groups 

for special privileges to so-called 

‘Christian Dalits’ are a fraud on the 

Dalits and a ruse to finance 

conversions to Christianity through 

the public exchequer. The Supreme 

Court in a landmark judgment of 

1977 (Chief Justice AN Ray) had 

noted that, “if a person purposely 

undertakes the conversion of 

another to his religion, that would 

impinge on the freedom of 

conscience guaranteed to all 

citizens of the country alike”. 

You would be aware that the 

Christian missionaries spread 

serious disaffection in society by 

their blasphemy against Hindu 

divinities, and divide society into 

warring factions by promoting illwill 

and distrust amongst various 

groups, so as to win converts. A 

key argument made in this process 

is that they are promoting equality 

and the brotherhood of man. Yet 

this equality vanishes the moment 

the low caste converts leave their 

old family, culture and social group 

behind and seek to enter the 

churches as equals. Then they are 

given separate churches and even 

cemeteries! And now the 

responsibility for all this evil

perpetrated by the church is placed 

at the door of Hindu society which 

is doing much to mitigate the lot 

of these groups. 

The church is keeping all its 

foreign funds for further 

evangelization, rather than the 

economic upliftment of the 

converted from poor sections of 

society. Thus, it willfully aggravates 

social unrest and inequality. 

Any extension of privileges 

guaranteed under the Constitution to 

Scheduled Caste and Scheduled 

Tribe converts will doubly reward 

Church duplicity. It will be nothing 

short of State sponsored or State 

financed evangelization, which is 

blatantly unconstitutional. It will 

completely destroy the social fabric 

of the nation and will divide the nation 

on communal lines. In this regard, 

one is compelled to ask to what 

extent the Catholic affiliation of UPA 

chairperson Ms. Sonia Gandhi is 

responsible for the consideration of 

such a disastrous proposal at this 

moment in history. 

It is well known that the term 

‘Dalit’ is a political invention with no 

sanction in Indian tradition. ‘Dalit’ 

theology is specifically invented by 

Christian evangelical and 

proselytizing groups funded by 

America, whose administration is 

taking undue interest in India’s 

internal matters, to which UPA is a 

silent spectator. 

In the name of national unity 

and integration, I urge the Hon’ble 

Commission to reject any moves 

to provide for special privileges to 

converts to Christianity.

‘CHRISTIANS UNDER SIEGE’: 

A MISSIONARY PLOY

Missionaries in India are using 

their age-old tactic of posing as 

victims to camouflage their 

aggression 

Background: Christianity and 

intolerance: Christianity does not 

have a notable reputation for 

tolerance and respect for other 

religions. The Christian need to 

convert the entire world has been 

an historical obsession that 

continues in major Christian groups 

today, both Protestant and 

Catholic. The Christian failure to 

honor other religions, particularly 

non-biblical traditions, is well 

known, with Christians still 

denigrating the sophisticated yogic 

traditions of Asia as mere 

superstition, idolatry and 

polytheism. Christian missionaries 

have had a reputation for using 

methods to promote conversion 

that are not always honest, 

including employing military and 

political force during the colonial 

era. Their targeting of the poor 

and illiterate for conversion, shows 

that they don’t like open debates 

in the light of day. Yet Christians 

like to ignore such inconvenient 

facts while posing as peaceful 

people concerned with human 

welfare, not with conversion. 

They are surprised if members 

of other religions are suspicious of 

them, even if they look at these 

religions and condemn them as 

works of the Devil. They feel 

easily hurt and insulted should 

anyone question their motives or 

their actions that they would 

certainly not allow other religious 

groups to practice in their own 

Christian communities. 

In the modern secular world, 

Christians now demand conversion 

as a democratic right, even 

though their religion is 

authoritarian, not democratic, 

accepting only one way, and not 

honoring pluralism in approaching 

the Divine. Christianity and its 

Churches have always been 

despotic institutions. They offer no 

freedom of choice about the savior, 

the book or the creed that can 

bring salvation and there is little 

tolerance for those who chose 

another way outside their faith. 

Europe had to reject the church 

and Christian dogma in order to 

become democratic over the past 

several centuries. So Christian 

churches are the last people on 

earth who should be talking about 

‘democratic rights’. It is merely a 

smokescreen for promoting their 

own agendas, spreading their 

authoritarian and exclusivist beliefs, 

recklessly eliminating other 

cultures and religions along the 

way. 

Posing as ‘victims’ 

The Christians of India continue 

to harbor attitudes hostile to the 

other religions of their country. 

They want a freedom to convert 

others but they are not willing to 

accept the other religions of the 

land as valid. They have abused 

Hindu tolerance and respect for all 

religions, which allows Hindus to 

honor Christ and Christian mystics, 

and used it as a pretext to 

promote Christian superiority, not 

to reciprocate with honoring 

Hinduism and its great sages and 

yogis. They say Christ must be 

great because Hindus honor him. 

They don’t honor Hindu teachers 

in return. 

Today Christians in India are 

highlighting minor attacks on 

Christians done by unidentified 

groups as a concerted Hindu 

campaign against them, while they 

themselves are actively working to 

change Hindu India into a Christian 

nation by all available means. 

While Christians have a long history 

of aggression against other faiths 

that certainly has not come to an 

end, they are quite offended if their 

religion faces minor obstructions 

or even criticism from the groups 

they have long maligned and, not 

long ago, actively oppressed. In all 

this they assume an aggrieved 

posture and claim to be victims 

of the very type of persecution that 

they themselves have historically 

practiced. 

This came to the fore soon 

after the arrest of the members of 

a Muslim organization showing it 

to be responsible for serial church 

bombings in South India. It proved 

that the charges made by Christian 

leaders against Hindu 

organizations for the bombings 

were unfounded, if not malicious. 

However, instead of admitting their 

mistake Christian leaders and 

organizations started a propaganda 

campaign, again blaming the Hindu 

organizations for ‘creating an 

atmosphere’ that led to these 

crimes! 

Recent arrests in Karnataka 

and Andhra Pradesh have shown 

that, Deendar Anjuman, a Muslim 

organization led by a Pakistani 

national was behind most of the 

bomb blasts and attacks on 


Christian groups in South India. 

The Christian response has been 

to ignore or deny the report, 

though it is quite well documented 

and occurred in states of 

Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, 

not ruled by the so-called Hindu 

BJP party. (See ‘Church Blasts:

Seshagiri Rao) In fact many 

Christians in India - especially its 

so-called ‘leaders’ - are defending 

the ISI, the Pakistani intelligence 

agency that has long tried to 

destabilize India, by absolving it of 

responsibility in the affair even 

without any investigation. This 

would be like an American religious 

minority defending the KGB during 

the Cold War. Whether the ISI is 

directly involved in such efforts to 

cause communal conflicts in India, 

we must recognize that it is a 

project it would certainly support 

and would be likely to promote. 

To dismiss their involvement out 

of hand, as Christian leaders in 

India are doing, is highly 

suspicious. Christians are publicly 

blaming Hindu organizations for 

attacks for which they have no 

evidence, let alone proof, and 

which no court has found them 

guilty of. (The latest evidence 

does suggest official Pakistani 

involvement, possibly of the ISI.) 

Christians in India exaggerate such 

minor incidents into a national and 

even an international anti-Hindu 

propaganda campaign. More 

churches have been burnt in 

America in recent years than in 

India. Several dozen black 

American churches were burnt to 

the ground, not merely slightly 

damaged like the few Indian 

churches that have been attacked. 

Christian priests and ministers are 

also robbed, assaulted and 

sometimes killed in all Western 

countries in numbers not unlike 

what occurs in India. We should 

also note that many more priests 

in America have been arrested for 

sexual molestation of children than 

have priests been assaulted in 

India. Should we use that to make 

conclusions about the nature of 

Christianity? 

That a few priests or ministers 

have been harmed in a country of 

one billion over a period of several 

years is not surprising even if we 

only consider ordinary crimes like 

robbery. Such things are law and 

order problems not an attack on 

one religion in particular. Many 

more Hindu religious workers are 

killed in India each year than 

Christians are in many years. That 

Christian missionaries have run 

into difficulties in sensitive tribal 

areas where there is not much 

government or police control is 

also not surprising, particularly 

given their hostility to tribal culture 

and tribal religions. The main 

purpose in all this drama is to 

whip up a propaganda campaign 

in order to bring international 

pressure on India to give Christians 

more freedom in their conversion 

efforts. Many Christians seem to 

prefer this to dealing with the 

Hindus in a spirit of give and take. 

What makes this affair 

especially distasteful is that even 

when there is a systematic 

cleansing of Christians in Pakistan, 

Indian Christian leaders are 

prepared to ignore their plight for 

their propaganda purposes against 

the Hindus. Even the Pope, while 

condemning Indonesia and India, 

refused to mention the atrocities 

against Christians in Pakistan. 

His equating of Indonesia where 

hundreds of Christians have been 

killed in recent months to India, 

where only a few have died over 

several years, also highlights the 

propaganda urge behind his 

statements. It was as though 

Christians wanted the situation in 

India to be worse and are trying 

to promote communal disharmony 

to highlight their presence in the 

country. 

Christians almost seem 

desperate to make a scene in 

India to highlight to the world 

media. 

All this is enough to make one 

wonder if Christians are staging 

some of these attacks to pose as 

victims of persecution. Whether or 

not this proves to be the case, 

certainly they are exaggerating 

such incidents out of all proportion. 

Christianity has had a long history 

of using victimization in order to 

promote conversion. We know of 

the stories of Christians being fed 

to the lions in Rome. We are not 

told that many more pagans were 

killed by Christians, and thousands 

of pagan temples were destroyed 

throughout Europe. The great Greek 

(Neo-Platonic) Academy in 

Alexandria was destroyed and its 

scholars like Hypatia killed by 

‘Saint’ Cyril and his followers. The 

number of native Americans killed 

or forcibly converted by Catholics 

was also in many millions, and 

yet the Catholics emphasize a few 

priests martyred by the native 

Americans as being the real 

victims. 

Such stories of Christian 

oppression are good ploys to gain 

donations in Western countries. 

India as a pagan country, where 

image worship is common, is an 

easy target for such conversion 

sentiments. 


The Indian scene 

Mother Teresa’s successor, 

Sister Nirmala, claims that Hindu 

fears that conversion is being 

done by force, deception or 

propaganda are not true and are 

ridiculous. But she should well 

know that ‘such devices have long 

been used in Christianity’ We can 

find native peoples all over the 

world whose cultures have been 

destroyed and even whose 

populations have been decimated 

by the missionaries and by the 

colonial armies that they 

supported. The Indian public is by 

and large unaware of the magnitude 

of destruction caused by 

Christianity, which may. exceed 

the destruction due to Islam and 

its Jihads. Until recently, any 

discussion of even the Goa 

Inquisition was taboo, and it is still 

barely mentioned in Indian history 

books. This is due to the fact that 

Christian (colonial) institutions 

practically control the education 

agenda in India, especially in 

history and other humanities. In 

fact Christianity in India is much 

more conservative than that in the 

West where most Catholics violate 

the main tenets of the church 

about contraception and divorce 

and fail to attend church and take 

its rituals in any regular way. 

Christianity in India is still 

projecting a medieval view of the 

church triumphant that has long 

been discarded in the West. 

Even if the Hindu fear of 

missionary mischief is 

exaggerated, it is entirely 

understandable. We should 

remember that the Pope in his 

recent visit to India himself threw 

down the gauntlet, stating a 

renewed church policy to convert 

Asia to Christianity in the coming 

years. To dismiss the Hindu fear 

as baseless only shows that it is 

not. If Christians were really sincere 

they would acknowledge that 

missionary activity has used such 

questionable methods in the past 

and work to insure that it does not 

do so in the future, and not simply 

ignore the issue. In the 

circumstances, it is prudent and 

proper for Hindus to view Christian 

activities and statements with 

suspicion. 

The missionaries have altered 

their tactics to what is possible 

in the post-colonial era, but that 

is not a change of heart. They 

have not opened to Hindus, 

dialogued with them sincerely, or 

sought a common ground with 

them for social harmony or for 

seeking true knowledge of God. 

They have aimed at the poor and 

displaced of Hindu society to 

promote a conversion effort that 

has failed with the educated and 

affluent of the country. They are 

striking below the belt and then 

complain of unfairness if their 

efforts are exposed. 

Politics, not Spirituality 

What is most surprising is that 

Christian missionaries have more 

freedom of operation in India than 

in the rest of Asia. They are 

banned in Islamic countries, 

including Pakistan, and strictly 

monitored in China, which has its 

own nationalist Catholic Church 

apart from Rome. Even Russia 

under Putin has recently come out 

against Christian missionaries as 

causing mischief in the country 

and often being agents of the 

American government. Christians 

are under direct attack in Indonesia 

where thousands of Christians have 

been killed in recent years. 

Neighboring Pakistan does not 

allow the missionaries the freedom 

they have in India and routinely 

oppresses its Christians. A few 

years ago a Catholic Bishop 

committed suicide in a Pakistan 

court to protest the issue. 

But it is India that being called 

to task in the world forum for its 

oppression of Christians! Mexico, 

which used to be part of the 

‘Catholic Empire of Spain’, does 

not allow missionaries the kind of 

freedom they enjoy in India. Only 

in some so-called ‘Banana 

Republics’ of Latin America do we 

find missionaries being so powerful. 

Even this, as has been revealed 

by recent hearings in the US 

Congress, was often financed by 

the CIA, with priests serving as 

CIA agents. 

Such information suggests that 

Christian leaders have given up 

most countries of the world as 

beyond their reach but 

concentrated on India as the US 

did on the Banana Republics. 

Missionaries and Christian 

organizations are very much on 

the defensive in most of the world 

today, where they are simply trying 

to hold their ground. 

The West continues to discard 

Christianity. The Islamic world will 

not let it in and China is keeping 

it at a safe distance. In America 

such missionary groups, which 

would still like to ban the teaching 

of evolution in the schools, 

complain how the country has all 

but abandoned real Christianity. 

But in India the missionaries 

remain aggressive. The reason is 

simple. India allows missionary 

activity and so is a soft target. 

Islamic countries and China are 

hard targets. The missionaries are 

targeting India because they feel 


they can make headway in India, 

not because India is a place 

where they are particularly under 

siege! 

The hypocrisy of the whole 

thing is easy to see. It shows the 

condescending attitude that 

missionaries have towards Hindus, 

thinking that they can bully them 

or appeal to their tolerance by a 

feigned persecution. It proves that 

Christians are still promoting a 

medieval religion that will not honor 

other religions and is still seeking 

world domination by any means, 

fair or foul. If we count the victims 

of Christian aggression on one 

side and the Christians themselves 

who have been victimized we will 

find that the victims of Christianity 

are overwhelmingly in the majority. 

While some Christians have 

apologized to African and Native 

American groups for such 

missionary misdeeds, the Hindus 

have so far not received any such 

apology, though they have suffered 

from the same methods. The 

reason is that the missionaries 

have not yet triumphed in India. 

The apology, like crocodile tears, 

comes only after the victim is 

dead. 

In the nineteenth and the early 

twentieth century, Christian colonial 

governments used their influence 

to promote conversion in the 

countries they ruled. 

Now Christians want to use 

freedom and democracy, which 

they didn’t allow under their 

rulership, to continue the 

conversion process. And all without 

an apology or explanation for this 

about face! If Christians want to 

be honored and respected let 

them first proclaim that Christianity 

is not the only true religion and 

Jesus is not the Only Son of God. 

Let them say that Hinduism, 

Buddhism, Sikhism, J ainism, 

Zoroastrianism and other Indian 

religions are as good as 

Christianity. Let Christians say 

clearly that members of other 

religions will not go to hell but will 

gain immortality in the presence 

of God by following what is good 

in their own teachings. 

Major Christian groups, however, 

will certainly not make such 

statements, though they may cover 

over their exclusivism with 

platitudes about human peace, 

brotherhood and Divine love. 

Their, failure to honor other 

religions shows an intolerance that 

naturally breeds conflict and 

inevitably leads to communal 

tension. 

Christians wouldn’t even accept 

a Mahatma Gandhi and worked to 

convert him, while the Mahatma 

described missionary activity as a 

great danger and as spiritually and 

ethically flawed. 

As a former Catholic I know in 

what little esteem the Church 

holds Hinduism and Buddhism 

with all their great sages and 

yogis. 

Christianity, like Islam, sees 

tolerance not as a virtue to be 

emulated but as a weakness to 

be exploited. Were Christians to 

really honor Hinduism as a valid 

religion all Hindu-Christian hostility 

could easily come to an end. As 

long as Christians hold that theirs 

alone is the True Faith and are 

working to convert the members 

of other religions in one way or 

another, they should not be 

surprised if members of other 

religions do not welcome their 

presence. 

It is only a matter of time 

before missionary Christianity is 

seen for what it is-imperialism in 

the name of God and Christ, the 

proverbial wolf in sheep’s clothing. 

It is a political, worldly movement 

with little spirituality in it. 

Unfortunately such Christians 

confuse the real Divine work, which 

is improving ourselves through 

introspection, with the institutional 

work of imposing a single belief 

upon all humanity. This political 

view of religion has no place in the 

global age of consciousness that 

is dawning in enlightened minds 

all over the world today. The 

quicker it comes to an end, the 

better it will be for all humanity.

‘SECULAR’ TOWARDS 

MUSLIMS AND 

CHRISTIANS BUT 

INTERFERING WITH 

HINDUS 

The ‘secular’ government of the 

Samajwadi Mulayam Singh in Uttar 

Pradesh is planning to enact a law 

which would enable it to monitor 

the activities of temples, mutts 

and religious trusts, and also have 

a big say in their management . 

The ‘secular’ Minister, Ashok 

Bajpai of the UP government wants 

to ensure a fool-proof arrangement 

for keeping a close watch on the 

management of the religious places 

as not only were the sewadars 

and workers exploited by the 

mahants and pujaris, dispute over 

property owned by the mutts and 

temples has often led to the 

murder of priests.” 

He says that temple towns are 

tourist center Varanai, Ayodhya and 

Chitrakoot. He asserted that proper 

management of temples would 

promote tourism in the state. And 

that the income from the temples, 

mutts and religious trusts will be 

ploughed back for the welfare of their 

workers. For the purpose of the 

legislation, temples and mutts have 

been divided into 3 grades: temples 

of international and national fame; 

temples of State fame; regional and 

local level temples, mutts and 

religious trusts. 

[Readers may note that these 

UP Samajwadi ‘secular’ 

government dare not any legislation 

in regard to the proper 

management of churches or 

mosques but it would want to 

manage the Hindus’ temples only. 

In the south where there are 

already laws about Hindu temples, 

the concerned department are being 

infiltrated by crypto Christians that 

is Harijans who have converted to 

Christianity but do not disclose 

the facts to enjoy Reservations. 

These crypto Christian infiltrators 

are conspiring to and conniving at 

the alleviation of temples property 

in favour of the ‘poor’, 

overwhelmingly crypto Christians. 

Varanasi Prayaga, Mathura 

Ayodhya are mere tourist cities for 

the ‘secularists’, but they are 

sacred places for Hindus. The 

‘secular’ government wants to 

exploit the fame of these holy 

towns for making money through 

tourists. This is a despicable 

intention. Will anybody agree that 

Mecca and Madina should be 

developed as tourists spots 

attracting the Americans and 

Japanese and others? The ‘secular’ 

government’s move once again 

exposes the inactivity and 

helplessness and defeatism of 

Hindus.] ✰

PROMOTING URDU 

A Laxmi 

One Sudhip Bandopadhyay, 

formerly a Trinamul Congressmen 

now a Sonia Congress MLA from 

the Bow Bazar constituency of 

Kolkatta proposed in the West 

Bengal Legislative Assembly that 

Urdu must also be made the 

medium of instruction in all state 

schools. Of course, they will then 

make a law that the private schools 

must fall in line in this regard. He 

says that the Muslim population 

in Bengal is 25%; but he did not 

say that the Hindu population of 

Bangladesh had come down from 

30% in 1947 to less than 10% by 

now. He ignores the fact that less 

than 10% of West Bengal’s 

Muslims declared Urdu as their 

mother tongue. 

One of reasons why the then 

East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) 

broke away from Pakistan and 

became Bangladesh, is the foisting 

of Urdu on Bengali speaking east 

Pakistan’s Muslims. one of the 

reasons for east Bengal‘s Muslims’ 

struggle for freedom was the 

demand for primacy of Bengali 

language. Nazrul Islam was a 

great Muslim poet in Bengali. He 

wrote not in Urdu but always only 

in Bengali. Not withstanding that 

Urdu is not the beloved tongue of 

Bengal’s Muslims, ‘secular’ 

Congressmen are demanding that 

Urdu should be promoted among 

the Bengali-speaking Muslims in 

India. Can there be a more 

appeasing and ignoble conduct. 

Among any Indian, especially 

those who give their religion as 

Hinduism? The fact is that 

everybody angling for Muslims’ 

votes, every ‘secularist’ tries to 

please and appease Muslims even 

in regard to issues that Muslims 

themselves are not interested. 

The Trinamul Congress got 17% 

of the Muslim votes; the Congress 

got 10% and the CPM got 73%. 

The former two parties are engaged 

in competition to please Muslims 

to wean them away from the 

CPM. This is ‘secularism’!✰ 


EXCLUSIVE GLORIFICATION OF NEHRU 

(AND HIS DYNASTY) 

‘Secularist’s and leftists and of 

course Sonia’s devotees are 

faulting the government of Madhya 

Pradesh for replacing one lesson 

about Nehru by another in one of 

the text books for schools in that 

state. In defence of their action, 

the government of Madhya Pradesh 

said that besides Jawaharlal Nehru, 

there were so many great freedom 

fighters and extolling Nehru to the 

exclusion of Bhagat Singh or 

Sardar Vallabhai Patel etc., is not 

proper. The Madhya Pradesh 

government also said not only 

Jawaharlal Nehru but millions of 

people made sacrifices in India’s 

freedom struggle. 

The Government of Madhya 

Pradesh deserves to be 

congratulated for stating truths 

which needed to be told much 

earlier and more extensively. It 

is only in communist states that 

the current ruler is almost deified 

and the histories of the party and 

the country re-written to show that 

that the current ruler only strove 

for the glory of their country. In 

democratic countries and open 

societies, histories are written not 

by government but by professors 

and scholars. They present 

different views in contention with 

one another, all based upon the 

same facts for, the purpose of 

history writing is to educate the 

current generation so that they 

don’t repeat the mistakes of the 

past. 

When Sri N Sanjiva Reddy was 

the President of India, he wrote a 

letter to the Prime Minister, Indira 

Dr T H Chowdary 

Gandhi, drawing her attention to 

increasing corruption in the 

government and urging her that 

she could do to arrest this 

cancerous growth of corruption. 

Indira Gandhi reacted very violently 

and instantly replied to this 

message from Sri N Sanjiva Reddy. 

She wrote back saying that the 

sacrifices of her father and 

grandfather were immense and 

that she should not be insinuated 

for corruption. 

Sanjiva Reddy was a great, 

self-respecting man of not 

inconsiderable integrity and robust 

courage. He was one of the few 

Congressmen who opposed Indira 

Gandhi’s Emergency (25 June 

1975) and went to jail. Reddy, 

the Rashtrapati wrote back to 

Indira Gandhi reminding her that 

Nehrus were not the only people 

who made sacrifices and that 

there were thousands of them who 

made great sacrifices and whose 

children and grand-children are not 

as fortunate as Nehrus in the 

enjoyment of power and prosperity. 

We reproduce below relevant 

extracts from the correspondence 

between Sri Sanjeeva Reddy and 

Indira Gandhi. 

When Sri N Sanjiva Reddy 

wrote to Indira Gandhi about the 

wide-spread talk of corruption in 

government, he made a specific 

mention of the extorted collections 

by Antulay’s Indira Pratibha 

Pratishtan Trust and concluded, 

‘... as the leader of the party in 

power at the center and in most 

of the States a great 

responsibility rests on you to 

initiate suitable steps for 

cleansing our public life.” Indira 

Gandhi reacted very angrily, 

presuming that the President was 

insinuating against her. She wrote; 

“My family has always been 

against corruption. Our record of 

disinterest in worldly goods is 

known to the world. My 

grandfather and father gave up 

exceptionally brilliant and 

lucrative careers, our old home, 

our land and cottages. There 

was no circumstance compelling 

me to donate, not merely the 

home I loved and the lands 

belonging to it, but even most 

valuable collections of books, 

papers and other articles.” 

Sri N Sanjiva Reddy was not 

a V V Giri or a Fakhruddin Ali 

Ahmed to be a rubber stamp 

President. He displayed his usual 

bluntness, characteristic of selfemployed 

farmer-managers of India 

and wrote to Indira Gandhi on 

11.10. 1981; 

“I am aware about the 

contribution of your grandfather 

and father to the cause of India’s 

Independence, who under the 

leadership of Mahatma Gandhi, 

along with men like Sardar Patel, 

Rajaji, Rajen Babu, Subhash 

Chandra Bose, gave up lucrative 

careers and joined the freedom 

struggle. The place your family 

has in the country’s recent history 

is very well known. We should 

also not forget men like 

Prakasam, who had given up 

his flourishing practice at the 

bar to join the non-cooperation 

movement and thousands of 

unknown men and women all 

over the country but for whose 

wholehearted participation in the 

freedom struggle, in response 


to Gandhiji’s call the country 

might not have achieved 

independence at all. Many of 

them had to sell their properties 

to support themselves and their 

families; not only had they to 

undergo privation in their life 

time but their families are now 

living in penury. On the other 

hand some of US who are living 

today have the good fortune of 

reaping the benefit of their 

sacrifice”. 

Sonia Gandhi and the history 

- ignorant, self-respect – lacking 

Congressmen talk of the 

“sacrifices” of Sonia Gandhi – 

living in palatial 10 Janpath in 

Delhi at the cost of the poor 

people of India. 

What is the sacrifice of the 

Nehrus and this lady Sonia is 

talking of compared to the great 

people that Sanjiva Reddy spoke 

of? Truly, while the sons and 

grand-sons of those who fought 

for freedom and made more 

sacrifices than Motilal and 

Jawaharlal are mere citizens of 

India with no privilege and are 

eking their livelihood on their own 

and unsubsidized and unprotected 

by the State, Nehru, his daughter 

and his grandson had become 

Prime Ministers; his sister Vijaya 

Laxmi Pandit was India’s 

Ambassador to the former USSR 

and leader of India’s delegation to 

the United Nations. And now the 

widow of Rajiv is the de facto ruler 

of India. She has been living in 

10, Janapath, a government house, 

protected and guarded by hundreds 

of policemen. She is presiding for 

life, over Rajiv Gandhi Foundation 

for which hundreds of crores of 

Rupees were collected from the 

people of India. Her daughter 

married to a businessmen making 

profits is given a government house 

and provided high-class security. 

How many sons and grandsons of 

freedom fighters like Sardar Patel, 

Rajaji, Rajendra Prasad, Maulana 

Abul Kalam Azad or Subhash 

Chandra Bose are housed, 

protected and profited in the 

manner of the Nehru-Gandhi clan? 

The claims of successive people 

of the Nehru dynasty that they 

made sacrifices for India’s freedom 

as if none others had made are 

hollow. They are compensated by 

the most lavish conferment of 

power and pelf. It is sheer 

arrogance and denigration of all 

other Indians. The innocent and 

ignorant Italian-born lady may do 

well to remember what Vijaya 

Laxmi Pandit, Nehru’s sister herself 

said about the extra-ordinary 

compensation that the Nehru clan 

has appropriated for itself in return 

for Motilal and Jawaharlal 

sacrifices. Vijaya Laxmi Pandit 

told the nation immediately after 

the Emergency (1977), while giving 

an interview to pressmen, that 

Nehru family received much 

more from the nation than it 

gave to the nation. Questioned 

by Indira Gandhi whether she truly 

said these worlds, Vijaya Laxmi 

Pandit boldly and unhesitatingly 

reiterated what she said. 

It may be that Congressmen 

who as hangers on; and 

sycophants and pigmies do not 

have any self-respect and may 

acquiesce in the claims and 

assertions of this Italian-born Rajiv’s 

widow. But Indians who know the 

history of Bharat that isIndia and 

who feel for their countrymen and 

who are witnesses to the simple 

ordinary life of the descendants of 

freedom fighters other than Nehru 

know that the Nehru family is 

wanting to establish a Dynasty 

and would be too happy if 

somebody can crown them. 

Congressmen are clamouring to 

make Sonia’s son, Rahul (whose 

fiancée is a foreign girl),General 

Secretary of Congress, preparatory 

to his assumption of Prime 

Ministership. Lenin and Stalin are 

gone from the history, legend and 

statuary in Russia. Mao Tse Tung 

is going out in China. Mahatma 

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi is 

more or less gone in India. Only 

Nehru-Indira-Rajiv-Sonia are 

currency. Will they also not go the 

way of Lenin-Stalin-Mao? ✰

Oppressed under 

Islam

It is not without an ulterior 

motive that N Jamal Ansari takes 

up the cause of the OBC in his 

article, “Upper caste regression” 

(June 21). It has less to do with 

the fact that Ansaris (weavers) are 

OBCs, and more to do with 

fragmentation of Hindu society so 

that Islam prevails. 

Did Brahminical Hinduism really 

cause “stratification” in society? 

This question cannot be studied 

in isolation from the 700-year 

Muslim rule. From the Slave to 

Mughal dynasty, India was under 

tyrannical foreign rule. They 

imposed a system that was 

spiritually foreign to the ethos of 

India. The Muslims who streamed 

into India from West and Central 

Asia were favoured children of the 

state. 

François Bernier, who visited 

Mughal India between 1656 and 

1668, discovered the ‘reservation’ 

during the Mughal rule. “The people 

of Great Tartary called Mogols; a 

name which they have 

communicated to the foreigners 

who now govern Indoustan, the 

country of the Indous, or Indians. 

It must not, however, be inferred 

that offices of trust and dignity are 

exclusively held by those of the 

Mogol race, or that they alone 

obtain rank in the army. These 

situations are filled indifferently by 

them and strangers from all 

countries; the greater part by 

Persians, some by Arabs and 

others by Turks. To be considered 

a Mogol, it is enough if a foreigner 

has a white face and professes 

Mahomentanism; in contradistinction 

to the Christians of 

Europe, who are called Firanguis, 

and to the Indous, whose 

complexion is brown, and who are 

Gentiles” (Travels in Mughal 

Empire, p 3). 

Paradoxically, the Hindus who 

carved out a political space for 

themselves in Muslim India on dint 

of sword were often the ones who 

are OBCs today. Harihar and 

Bukka, founders of Vijayanagara, 

were Yadavs. Whether Shivaji was 

a Kshatriya is doubtful; he was 

suspected of being a Shudra. Raja 

Suraj Mal and Maharaja Ranjit 

Singh were Jats (OBCs by the 

current reckoning). Hemu (Hem 

Chandra), who fought the Mughals 

in the second battle of Panipat, 

was a Teli. In 1320, a lower-caste 

Hindu converted to Islam by force, 

Khusrao (later Nasiruddin), 

upturned the Delhi Sultanate and 

revived Hindu rule for a year. The 

upper-caste Hindus were the most 

oppressed under Islam.

Consolidating a mighty Hindu

A Hindu of this place (Pune) 

is as much a Hindu as the one 

from Madras or Bombay.....The 

study of the Gita, Ramayana 

and Mahabharata produce the

forgetting all the minor differences

consolidate all the different sects

India home for ISI agents

Md Salem Junaid is Pakistan’s 

ISI agent, trained and sent to India 

in order to foment communal 

trouble and also plan for the 

blasting of men and buildings. He 

was caught in Andhra Pradesh 

and was in jails for more than five 

years. The law took its own course 

and after about of five years, he 

was sentenced to five years jail. 

However, since he has spent five 

years already “under trial”, he is 

released. Government is trying to 

repatriate him to Pakistan. 

According to a report in the 

Indian express of 25.6.2006 he is 

doubtful whether Pakistan would 

accept him as in that case, 

Pakistan would have to own up 

the guilt of injecting saboteurs 

and terrorists into India. But Sri 

Junaid is not worried. He thinks 

India is very good and very 

hospitable. If Pakistan does not 

take him back, he has decided to 

settle in India. The ‘secularists’, 

especially the Marxists and human 

rightswalas would welcome one 

more warrior of composite culture 

for their army of Bharat todo-fodo. 

Scores of ISI agents had been 

arrested by some patriotic 

policemen in Andhra Pradesh. But 

many of them have disappeared 

while in transit between Jails and 

courts and between two jails. That 

is why Junaid and Islamists of his 

kind are very happy in India, as 

they find a congenial atmosphere 

and friendly supporters who give 

them safe houses, finances, 

facilities and most importantly, 

legal aid.

Telangana and Qubec (Canada)

In Canada, the eastern province 

of Qubec is French -speaking and 

fiercely francofile. There is a 

Qubec Party (Parti Quebeqois) 

which had been campaigning for 

the secession of Qubec from 

Canada to become an Independent 

sovereign French speaking state 

in north Americas. That party 

wins the provincial elections but in 

any referendum for secession and 

independence, it does not get a 

majority. Therefore it uses the 

threat of secession in order to get 

the maximum concessions from 

the central government. 

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi 

(TRS) appears to be one like the 

Party Quebecois. The TRS holds 

to the threat of separation from 

Andhra Pradesh and for a new 

state to get ministerships in the 

Union Cabinet and by the grace 

of the AP Congress, ministerships 

in AP also. 

The Muslim majority 

secessionist Kashmir has been 

able to wrest financial packages 

of Rs.11,000 cr form the NDA 

government and Rs.26,000 crores 

from the UPA government for 

‘development’. This is the 

“bakshis” they seek and get, by 

holding the threat of separation. 

At Rs.37,000 per capita, the 

separatist Kashmir has received 

the highest munificence from the 

Union government. And it is now 

wanting utmost autonomy so that 

the money extracted from the 

Union government can be used by 

those in power to quit poverty and 

become opulent. 

The “minorities” in India are 

also succeeding in holding the 

union government to ransom by 

their furiously proliferating numbers 

and so vote power. Every party in 

the country is trying to bid the 

highest price like reservations, 

minority college, separate welfare 

grants and development funds and 

housing, more subsidies for Haj 

etc., to win their favours and 

votes.

Infertility in Congress

When animals or men are 

infertile, artificial insemination is 

resorted to produce a progeny. 

Also in animal breeding 

improvements are effected by 

artificial insemination by using 

semen from the best breed of the 

species. Similarly, it may be 

worthwhile that the Dynasty be 

asked to improve and upgrade the 

caliber of Congressmen. We may 

then have a large number of Nehru 

-like leaders. There can still be 

doubt whether it will be the Nehru - 

like generation or Firoz Gandhi type 

of generation that would ensue. Yet, 

it may be worthwhile so that the 

National Congress of more than 100 

years history is rejuvenated.

Ethnic Cleansing In J&K

Let us be truthful. Ethnic 

cleansing has been the continuous 

and open practice in Muslim 

majority areas in this Indian subcontinent 

when once the Moslems 

are empowered to do so. 

Pakistan’s 18% Hindu -Muslim 

population in 1947 has been 

cleansed down to about 1% now. 

Bangladesh’ s Hindu-Buddhist 

population has been cleansed from 

13% to 9%. In the Kashmir Valley 

within India, through terrorism 

almost all the Hindus have been 

ethnically cleansed and they are 

refugees in other places in India. 

The same exercise not being 

carried out in the Hindu majority 

Jammu and Buddhist majority 

Laddakh. These two areas are 

having to suffer ethnic cleansing 

because thy are part of the over 

all Muslim majority J&K State. 

Muslims and Christians have 

become Chief Ministers and 

Governors of Hindu majority States 

but no Hindu has become either 

a CM in a Christian or Muslim 

majority State in this country. 

The BJP –led coalition had 

been in power for almost six years 

between 1998-2004. From the Jana 

Sangh days onwards, the 

widespread demand of Hindus has 

been that unless Jammu and 

Laddakh are given autonomy like 

J&K or unless they are separated 

out into a Jammu State which 

has clear Hindu majority and 

Laddakh a Buddhist majority area 

as a Union Territory, the Hindus 

and Buddhists would become 

minority very soon in Jammu and 

laddakh areas also. Did the BJPled 

NDA government do anything 

to avert this calamity which has 

been afflicting the Hindus and 

Buddhists in J&K since the 1950s. 

Is it that only when the BJP 

is out of power it would talk of 

ending the temporary Art-370 and 

fully integrate J&K with the rest 

of the country? Is it that only 

when it is out of power, it will 

agitate about the peril of ethnic 

cleansing in Jammu and Laddakh? 

It is unfortunate that the BJP in 

power has not even attempted to 

what it advocated and stood for 

over for five decades. 

There are several BJP-ruled 

States some of them with more 

than two thirds majority. Within 

the powers that are available in 

the realm of the State, why does 

not the BJP implement its policies 


in regard to protection of Hindu 

temples; conversions; reclaiming 

Hindus temples converted into 

mosques; promote Sanskrit and 

true history of India in the 

schools in their States? Why 

don’t they start National 

Universities which will bring out 

the true history and culture of 

India through the ages instead 

of the history being manufactured 

in the Marxist madrasas, by its 

Imams namely the Jawaharlal 

Nehru University and its “eminent” 

historians. 

If the BJP is to espouse the 

principles and the ideologies for 

which it was founded only when 

it is in the opposition, and not 

implement them when in power, 

then it is no different from the 

Congress party. Throughout the 

history of India Hindus had been 

betrayed by Hindus. That is how 

this country fell prey to foreign 

rule.

Sonia’s Spin Doctors

The petrol and kerosene prices 

are to be increased, quite 

justifiably. The Petroleum Minister 

increased them by a certain 

amount against which the non- 

Congress parties mainly the CPM 

and some regional parties like 

TDP are holding demonstrations 

and haranguing denunciations. 

Then there is an appeal to Her 

Majesty Sonia Gandhi, the 

Supremo of the Congress (and 

of the country courtesy CPM). 

Her heart bleeds at the extra 

burden imposed by a thoughtless 

and heartless Minister. She 

imperiously tells the government 

to reduce the increases by a 

rupee. 

This is very good drama. Her 

Majesty, Soniaji sees in some of 

her Ministers capitalist stooges 

and even agents of the World 

Bank. The great and 

compassionate Sonia is for the 

people, for the poor owners of 

automobiles and poor and downtrodden 

kerosene users. So in a 

dramatic way, the people’s burden 

is reduced by an appeal to her. 

That is how a legend and 

mystique is built around this great, 

silent, unaccountable queen 

mother of this country. Indira 

Gandhi used to reshuffle her 

Cabinet very frequently for dropping 

some and picking up some others 

conveying the message that she 

wants to do good but what can 

she do if the men in her flock 

are useless. Soniaji has taken a 

great lesson from the great Indira 

Gandhi.

Create a Sindhu State

When the partition of India to 

create the Islamic State of Pakistan 

became inevitable, leaders like 

Shyama Prasad Mukherji said that 

if Jinnah divides India, we will divide 

Pakistan i.e Punjab and Bengal, 

whole of each of which Jinnah was 

claiming for Pakistan. So we have 

saved for India the Punjab and West 

Bengal States which had Hindu-Sikh 

majorities. It was unfortunate that 

the leaders at the time of partition 

did not like -wise think of dividing 

Sindh which also had a few districts 

with Hindu majority. Notable 

among them is the Thar Parkar 

District. Its population was 90% 

Hindu. which It is adjacent to the 

Kutch area of Gujarat and 

Rajasthan. Just as Punjab and 

Bengal were divided to salvage the 

Hindu districts we should have 

insisted to get Thar Parkar and 

called eh east Sindh state eastern 

Sindh, just as we are having West 

Bengal. Chittagoan was not a 

Muslim majority but an 

overwhelmingly Buddhist majority 

area in east Pakistan, now 

Bangladesh. It is adjacent to 

Triupura. The Indian leaders did not 

have the foresight and the boldness 

and integrity to demand that 

Chittagaon should become part of 

Tripura. 

No borders are permanent. We 

must hope that one day a strong 

resurgent nationalist India will 

reclaim both Thar Parkar and 

Chittagaon for India. In the mean 

while, it would be most patriotic to 

create Sindh state comprising of 

Kutch and Anjar in Gujarat. The 

Sindhu -Saraswathi Valleys area 

was the mother of Vedic civilization. 

In order to keep our memories 

undying, it is great that during NDA 

rule an annual festival, “Sindhu 

Darshan” was initiated and Indians 

are going to that portion of the river 

Sindhu which is flowing through 

Kashmir. Similarly, the creation of 

a Sindhu state would keep up our 

historic links and memories with 

the birth of our Vedic civilization. 

Luckily, most people in Kutch and 

around speak Sindhi as well as 

Gujarat. And Gujarat has a 

nationalist government under the 

leadership of Sri Narendra Modi. 

Patriotic people should demand 

that just as new states Uttaranchal 

and Chattisghar and Jharkhand 

(Telengana, in future) are created, 

a new state East Sindh should be 

created and in that process, 

Gujarat State Assembly must pass 

a resolution in favour of the creation 

of the new state and request the 

center to complete the necessary 

formalities. 

All Sindhi people in India and 

outside the country must unitedly 

work for the creation of a Sindh 

state. In our National Anthem the 

second area to be mentioned is

Sindh and it ill behooves us not to have a Sindhu 

state of which we are singing in the National 

Anthem.

Backwardness of the OBCs

Sri Jamal Ansari (an indefatigable Islamist 

intellectual, a former professor) faults (Pioneer 

06/06/06) Brahmins for the backwardness of the 

OBCs . He says that the Brahmins got various 

positions of power reserved for themselves . But 

did not the Muslims, a small minority get all 

superior positions when they ruled this country 

for hundreds of years? For example; in the 

Nizams’ dominions Muslims were only 9%. Over 

90% of all jobs were open to them only. Not 

Telugu, not Marathi, not Kannada languages of 

90% of the people was the medium of instruction 

even at the primary school stage. It was Urdu all 

the way from primary to the university. This is 

the worst inequality and discrimination that was 

practised by help of the sword by Muslims in 

India. And now they say they are backward 

and that positions in government including the 

armed forces and admissions to educational 

institutions and representation in Legislatures 

should be on the basis of the population of these 

backwards. Their backwardness is in fact due to 

large families, madrassa and not modern 

education and no interest in educating the girl 

children. 

There was no caste discrimination by 

Brahmins on other castes namely OBCs in 

Hinduism. Castes, in the past were based on 

professions; they were hereditary because of 

frozen technologies, non-urbanisation and brutal 

rule of aliens and their converted stooges and 

centuries-long resistance to whom did not 

conduce to social, economic and cultural 

developments and reforms. Hinduism’s sin was 

foisting untouchability and denying the right to 

education to the SCs. For this crime, they 

are paying reparations by giving reservations. 

Neither against the OBCs nor against the

disadvantageous discrimination. It is obvious from what Ansari 

writes that people of his like and converts to Christianity are 

wanting to inflame inter-caste strife and thereby disintegrate 

the Hindu society and country . 

It is ridiculous for him to fault the doctors for the death of 

many a patient in the hospitals. By that same standard, can 

Jamal Ansari and Muslims of his thinking be blamed and 

condemned for the death and destruction that Islamic jihadi 

terrorists are causing in this country and elsewhere in the 

world? Have these Ansaris ever advised, much less organized 

any movement against the Muslim terrorists carrying out 

the ethnic cleansing of Hindu Pandits from Kashmir ?

Jana Vignana Vedika and Fish 

Medicine for Asthma 

Smt T Mani Chowdary, Secunderabad 

Jana Vignan Vedika (JVV), a front organisation of 

Communist Parties in AP has held several press 

conferences and issued statements ridiculing the unscientific 

nature of the fish medicine administered for Asthma 

patients in Hyderabad, year after year. Yet the popular 

belief in this cure remains unabated. 

It is however strange that while the JVV characterizes 

the fish medicine as unscientific, its leaders tout “Marxism 

and Communism as Scientific Socialism”. In science, 

words have got definite meanings and the properties of 

the matter described by science are unique and can be 

verified anywhere in the world. But can the JVV or its 

principals, the communists explain the scientific nature 

of socialism as practised in the former USSR, Peoples 

Republic of China, North Korea, Cuba, Vietnam and now 

in Venuzvela. JVV’s idea of science is as phoney as 

Socialism of the Marxist/Communist variety. ✰
