Naturist Society representatives visit
Gunnison Beach
On Monday, June 27th, Dale & I met with representatives
of the Naturist Society at their request. Mark Storey
is a writer, contributing editor for N Magazine and a
member of the Naturist Action Committee. Paul Rapoport
is the editor of Canada’s Going Natural magazine. They
had just come from Lenox MA where they attended the
Naturist Gathering.
It was a rainy, foggy day and the weather just wouldn’t
cooperate, so we sat at the Sea Gull’s Nest for a while
and chatted about the history of FoG and Gunnison
Beach. They are doing stories in each of their publications
about Gunnison Beach.
Paul & Mark really wanted to see the beach so we took a
walk in the rain. They took photos of the Attention signs,
the snack bar, and both of us. There were a few brave
souls who were actually out at the beach in the rain.
We also gave them a 5-cent version of the 10-cent tour
of Sandy Hook and Ft Hancock. They were really impressed
with what Sandy Hook has to offer.
They loved the beach and planned to return another day
during the week to enjoy it in the sunshine.
We look forward to both of the articles appearing in their
respective publications. We’ll let you know.....

Photostamps.com in the U.S. has FINALLY approved the design for the AANR’s
75 th anniversary stamp. They were rejected twice because they first wouldn’t
allow a business logo, and then they wouldn’t allow a business name. With a
little creativity, the AANR publications department came up with an idea that
conveyed the message of nude recreation without actually mentioning AANR.
As you can see above, the crown of the AANR icon is very subtle on the beach
ball, but should be recognizable by AANR members.
We’ll let you know when it comes out!
