It was a hot summer day for the<br />
NEFA gathering at Evelyn’s<br />
Drive In. Evelyn’s overlooks the<br />
Nanaquaket Pond in Tiverton RI.<br />
Evelyn’s Drive In is definitely a<br />
great place, it was worth the trip.<br />
It was featured on Diners, Drive-<br />
In’s, and Dives with Guy Fieri.<br />
We met up with Les Sandy in<br />
Cheshire around 10, to cruise up<br />
to Evelyn’s. I was expecting to<br />
see a <strong>Fiero</strong> at the commuter<br />
parking area, instead Les decided<br />
to take his Buick Reatta, lovingly<br />
called the “Luxury <strong>Fiero</strong>”. It had<br />
air conditioning, something my<br />
<strong>Fiero</strong> no longer has and it was<br />
definitely a day for the A/C.<br />
Everyone arrived at Evelyn’s<br />
around 1:00 with Russ & Lynn<br />
Salter from the Cape, Gwen &<br />
Phil Randolph from Coventry RI,<br />
Ray & Janet Paulk from<br />
Hopedale, MA, Les Sandy from<br />
Cheshire, CT, and me with David<br />
from Danbury.<br />
We had a great lunch, friendly<br />
service, and such a great view!<br />
After lunch we took a short cruise<br />
over to Grays Ice Cream. Terrific<br />
Ice Cream! Grays has been<br />
around since 1923 and is well<br />
known for their Ice Cream. You<br />

www.evelynsdrivein.com. It was<br />
a great day, just to sit back and<br />
get together with other club<br />
members!
