Participants wishing to take advantage of the discounted ticket price can find the discount code on the FCCLA national website and in the 2013 National Leadership Conference Brochure. Gaylord Opryland is a short 10-minute drive from Nashville's International Airport. Shuttle service and car service are available to or from the airport to the hotel. Hertz is a Gaylord Hotels preferred partner for car rentals, offering discounts for Gaylord Opryland guests and with a counter conveniently located right in the main Cascades Lobby Airport Shuttle Gaylord Opryland offers daily round-trip shuttle service from the Nashville International Airport to the Hotel. Upon your arrival to the airport, you can find the Gaylord Opryland Welcome Desk on the lower level of the airport between the two escalators. An agent can assist with your travel needs and ticket purchase, or you can use the kiosk, which is conveniently located at the welcome desk. If an agent is not available to provide assistance, you can find the Hotel's shuttle located immediately to the left as you exit the front door of the lower level of the airport. Housing Information Housing Policy It is important that all FCCLA delegates attending the conference use the official hotel(s). The Board of Directors has implemented the following policy: 1. Delegates who live more than 30 miles from the convention site and do not stay in one of the official convention hotels will be assessed a meeting room fee of $25 per registration in order to register for the conference. 2. Delegates from state associations attending the national conference and not staying at one of the official convention hotels may not participate in national STAR Events or be eligible to be elected for a national office. The 2013 National Leadership Conference official conference hotel Is the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center. All registered conference attendees are eligible to take advantage of the FCCLA negotiated hotel room rate. State Advisers will determine their hotel choice and participate in a housing lottery at the State Advisers Management Meeting in January 2013. States will draw from a lottery while at the January meeting to determine their order to select a hotel. Each state adviser will be given a form to indicate their hotel choices and approximate number of rooms needed. State advisers not in attendance will be included in the lottery and informed of their number. This process will ensure that states are given a fair selection of hotels. It will also enable attendees to know their exact hotel and rate ahead of time. State hotel assignments will be posted on the FCCLA website by February 15, 2013. The hotel will confirm reservations as they are received. If additional housing forms are received over and above the anticipated room needs provided by state advisers, every effort will be made to keep those groups in the same hotel as the state delegation.
