The <strong>National</strong> <strong>FFA</strong> <strong>Organization</strong><br />

<strong>National</strong> Event Winners - <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Interview</strong> 2010<br />

INDIANAPOLIS- Winners of the <strong>National</strong> <strong>FFA</strong> <strong>Job</strong> <strong>Interview</strong> Career Development Event (CDE) were<br />

announced Friday at the annual awards banquet. The event was held in conjunction with the 83rd<br />

<strong>National</strong> <strong>FFA</strong> Convention in Indianapolis, Ind. Mr. James Shiflet of Virginia served as superintendent<br />

of the national event.<br />

The top four individuals will receive scholarships to further their education at a post-secondary<br />

institution of their choice. The scholarships and the job interview event are sponsored by the <strong>National</strong><br />

<strong>FFA</strong> Foundation.<br />

The job interview CDE is a competitive activity that tests student's ability to perform effectively<br />

throughout the entire job application process. The participants prepare a resume, cover letter and<br />

complete a written application. They also participate in phone, one-on-one and panel job interviews<br />

as part of the competition.<br />

The event, held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Indianapolis, Ind., is one of many educational activities<br />

at the national <strong>FFA</strong> convention in which <strong>FFA</strong> members practice the lessons learned in agricultural<br />

education classes.<br />
