Practice-oriented studies<br />

the main focus of this course is the implementation, support and/<br />

or management of computer-based information systems, particularly<br />

with regard to software applications and computer hardware, but<br />

also to antenna design for mobile and satellite applications. you


will learn how to use computers and software to convert, store, protect,<br />

process, transmit and securely retrieve information. Besides providing the<br />

necessary specialized knowledge, we focus specifically on preparing you<br />

for your career entry right from the very start: in the many classes, practice<br />

sessions and interdisciplinary projects, you solve practical problems<br />

independently as well as in teams. current projects dealt with in information<br />

<strong>technology</strong> are digital television, mobile communication, satellite<br />

electronics and navigation (especially robotics applications). one of<br />

the projects is our student satellite program, „Heidelsat“.<br />
