Assistant Coach • 3rd Season<br />
Jamestown (2001)<br />
Greg Ulland enters his third season as assistant coach,<br />
working primarily with the wing players. He also serves as<br />
the team’s recruiting coordinator.<br />
Under his guidance, the 2007-<strong>08</strong> team finished second in<br />
the <strong>North</strong> Central Conference in three-point field goal percentage<br />
with Karla Beck (40 3FG, .426 pct.), Danye Guinn<br />
(51 3FG, .372 pct.), Mallory Youngblut (42 3FG, .365 pct.),<br />
and Jossy Bergen (34 3FG, .312 pct.) ranked 4-9-10-15,<br />
respectively, in the NCC.<br />
Ulland is no stranger to Fighting Sioux athletics, having<br />
previously served as a graduate assistant with the football<br />
program during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.<br />
Ulland returned to UND after spending the 2005-06 season<br />
as a women’s basketball assistant coach at Mayville<br />
State (N.D.) <strong>University</strong>. Prior to his stint with the UND<br />
football program, Ulland was an assistant women’s basketball<br />
coach at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Mary for one season (2003)<br />
and Jamestown College in 2000-2002.<br />
A native <strong>of</strong> Strasburg, N.D., Ulland received his bachelor’s<br />
degree in physical education with teaching and coaching<br />
credentials from Jamestown College in 2001 and was<br />
recently inducted into the JC Hall <strong>of</strong> Fame. He also earned<br />
a master’s degree in kinesiology from UND in 2005.<br />
Ulland’s family includes his wife, Brandie, and daughter,<br />
Mea (1).<br />
