GREG ULLAND
Assistant Coach • 3rd Season
Jamestown (2001)
Greg Ulland enters his third season as assistant coach,
working primarily with the wing players. He also serves as
the team’s recruiting coordinator.
Under his guidance, the 2007-08 team finished second in
the North Central Conference in three-point field goal percentage
with Karla Beck (40 3FG, .426 pct.), Danye Guinn
(51 3FG, .372 pct.), Mallory Youngblut (42 3FG, .365 pct.),
and Jossy Bergen (34 3FG, .312 pct.) ranked 4-9-10-15,
respectively, in the NCC.
Ulland is no stranger to Fighting Sioux athletics, having
previously served as a graduate assistant with the football
program during the 2003 and 2004 seasons.
Ulland returned to UND after spending the 2005-06 season
as a women’s basketball assistant coach at Mayville
State (N.D.) University. Prior to his stint with the UND
football program, Ulland was an assistant women’s basketball
coach at the University of Mary for one season (2003)
and Jamestown College in 2000-2002.
A native of Strasburg, N.D., Ulland received his bachelor’s
degree in physical education with teaching and coaching
credentials from Jamestown College in 2001 and was
recently inducted into the JC Hall of Fame. He also earned
a master’s degree in kinesiology from UND in 2005.
Ulland’s family includes his wife, Brandie, and daughter,
Mea (1).
