Acceptable Budget Figures
The following tables provide the budget figures acceptable to Film Victoria for Fiction Television Development
programs.
Any additional budget items (for example, casting and workshops in Final Stage Development) should be
discussed with the Manager, Script Development or Script Development Officer before submitting an
application.
Further Film Victoria will not:
Fund retrospectively
Provide funding to be applied to option or rights payments
Fund casting or budget components (except for Final Stage Development)
Provide funding for travel expenses (except for Final Stage Development)

Successful applicants must expend any funds received from Film Victoria in accordance with the approved budget.
Permission must be sought for any budget variations.
* The writer’s and producer’s fees should reflect their produced credits and level of experience in the medium
(Film/TV) for which they are applying.
* The writer’s fees should be commensurate with the minimum rates and guidelines from the Australian Writer’s Guild
(AWG).

Acceptable Budget Figures
**Applicants are entitled to allocate up to $500 of Film Victoria funding to the payment of legal fees incurred in
connection with the proposed stage of development, provided that Film Victoria is not required to pay the allocated
amount to the applicant until the applicant has provided documentation to confirm that it has incurred those fees.
