Financial Executives International
Overview
FEI will continue to be the association for the corporate finance profession. We strive to
be the most contemporary, dynamic and proactive organization of its kind. We are and
will be a powerful network centered on a strong Internet community and local meetings.
FEI is member-service oriented with value for dues as a top priority. Cost savings ideas
and value-building themes that accrue to our members from their FEI participation dwarf
the cost of membership.
We strive to be the eyes and ears of the average finance officer facing the day-to-day
challenge of enhancing their shareholders' investment. We help members anticipate
and react to change, acquire new resources to enhance shareholder value, and build
the personal skills to further their careers. We do this by providing information through
wide-ranging forms of communication, knowledge of evolving trends and issues and
high-quality programs We help to identify new opportunities for peer networking, and
provide advocacy through representation before legislators and regulators.
History
Financial Executives International (FEI) was founded in 1931 as the Controller’s
Institute of America. We proactively helped design the CFO Act in 1990, and have a
history of supporting legislation that enhances the business climate. Our largest
chapters are in Boston, Chicago, New York City, Silicon Valley, Dallas and New Jersey.
In total we have 85 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. We are headquartered in
Morristown, NJ, with offices in Washington, DC. FEI Canada, was established in 1962
to serve the needs of our Canadian members, and consists of 11 chapters, and a
membership that includes senior financial officers who face common issues and
challenges.

The Board of Directors
Has the primary responsibility for governance, and ensures strict adherence to our
bylaws. Consists of up to 40 members, including the officers, two immediate past chairs,
the area vice presidents, the area directors at large, the Research Foundation chair, the
FEI Canada chair, vice chair and president, and the technical committee chairs.
