Overview<br />
FEI will continue to be the association for the corporate finance profession. We strive to<br />
be the most contemporary, dynamic and proactive organization of its kind. We are and<br />
will be a powerful network centered on a strong Internet community and local meetings.<br />
FEI is member-service oriented with value for dues as a top priority. Cost savings ideas<br />
and value-building themes that accrue to our members from their FEI participation dwarf<br />
the cost of membership.<br />
We strive to be the eyes and ears of the average finance officer facing the day-to-day<br />
challenge of enhancing their shareholders' investment. We help members anticipate<br />
and react to change, acquire new resources to enhance shareholder value, and build<br />
the personal skills to further their careers. We do this by providing information through<br />
wide-ranging forms of communication, knowledge of evolving trends and issues and<br />
high-quality programs We help to identify new opportunities for peer networking, and<br />
provide advocacy through representation before legislators and regulators.<br />
History<br />
<strong>Financial</strong> <strong>Executives</strong> <strong>International</strong> (FEI) was founded in 1931 as the Controller’s<br />
Institute of America. We proactively helped design the CFO Act in 1990, and have a<br />
history of supporting legislation that enhances the business climate. Our largest<br />
chapters are in Boston, Chicago, New York City, Silicon Valley, Dallas and New Jersey.<br />
In total we have 85 chapters across the U.S. and Canada. We are headquartered in<br />
Morristown, NJ, with offices in Washington, DC. FEI Canada, was established in 1962<br />
to serve the needs of our Canadian members, and consists of 11 chapters, and a<br />
membership that includes senior financial officers who face common issues and<br />
challenges.<br />

Structure<br />
The Board of Directors<br />
Has the primary responsibility for governance, and ensures strict adherence to our<br />
bylaws. Consists of up to 40 members, including the officers, two immediate past chairs,<br />
the area vice presidents, the area directors at large, the Research Foundation chair, the<br />
FEI Canada chair, vice chair and president, and the technical committee chairs.<br />
<strong>Financial</strong> <strong>Executives</strong> Research Foundation (FERF) Overview<br />
FERF is a non-profit affiliate of <strong>Financial</strong> <strong>Executives</strong> <strong>International</strong>. The Foundation<br />
traces its roots to 1944 when it was chartered as The Controllership Foundation. Its
