Big & Rich Concert (Sat. 17 NOV): Tour for the Troops is bringing Big & Rich, Cowboy Troy and Bradley
Gaskins to Fort Bragg for FREE on 17 Nov! Concert will begin at 1930 at the Main Post Parade Field. Event is
FREE and open to the public.
BOSS Thanksgiving Lunch (Tue. 20 NOV): Join BOSS for a FREE Thanksgiving meal on 20 Nov at the
BOSS Office from 1100-1300. Event also includes games, giveaways and prizes! Enter for a chance to win an
iPad!!! Open to Single Service Members Only.
3. UPCOMING COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES
Second Harvest Food Bank (Wed. 14 NOV): Join BOSS at the Second Harvest Food Bank on Wednesday, 14
Nov from 1300-1600. Each volunteer will receive a BOSS t-shirt. Contact whitney.r.burger.naf@mail.mil for
more information or to sign up. Spots are limited.

Big & Rich Concert (Sat. 17 NOV): BOSS will be selling glow necklaces and candy crafts at the concert to
raise funds for the BOSS Program! Volunteers are needed from 1800-2100. Volunteers will receive a BOSS

BOSS Thanksgiving Lunch (Tue. 20 NOV): Assist with setup, decorating, serving food, etc. at Thanksgiving
Lunch event. Volunteers are needed between 0900-1300 on Tuesday, 20 Nov. Volunteers will receive a BOSS
tshirt AND sweatshirt! Contact whitney.r.burger.naf@mail.mil for more information or to sign up.
Help BOSS Feed the Homeless (Wed. 28 NOV): On the fourth Wednesday of every month from 1600-1830
hrs BOSS will serve dinner to the homeless at the Salvation Army shelter. Each volunteer will receive a BOSS
t-shirt which can be worn with civilian attire or uniform. Volunteer space is very limited (only 10 volunteer
slots available each month). Contact whitney.r.burger.naf@mail.mil for more information or to sign up.
Don’t forget: Single Soldiers can earn the Volunteer Service Medal by serving with BOSS! Check out this link and be sure to

4. QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES
The Army-wide BOSS Program lives up to its name by providing better opportunities for Single Soldiers in the
areas of recreation & leisure, community service, and quality of life. Help us help you. Our “Have Lunch with Your
BOSS” meetings are an open forum for the presentation and discussion of quality of life issues. Let us know how BOSS
could help improve your life as a Single Soldier on Ft. Bragg.
All Quality of Life issues presented to BOSS must have FIRST been addressed with your COC. You may
contact BOSS anytime via email with an issue; in your message please include what steps you’ve already taken
with your Chain of Command.
Single Soldier Town Hall Meeting (Thu. 8 NOV): The Garrison Commander & Garrison Sergeant Major will
be hosting a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, 8 Nov beginning at 0930 at the Main Post Theater just for Single
Soldiers! This is your chance to bring up quality of life issues and questions directly to Garrison Command.
Representatives from FSBP, AAFES, FMWR, etc. will be on hand to answer questions.
5. ONGOING BUSINESS
BOSS Briefings
Would you like the Ft. Bragg BOSS Team to make a presentation at your next unit function? Help us
spread the word to Single Soldiers about BOSS! BOSS is available to conduct briefings for groups of
any size. Keep BOSS in mind for Unit Org days, Payday activities events, FRG meetings, safety
briefings, or other unit functions. Please contact the BOSS Team at least two weeks prior to your event
and to request our attendance.
Facebook: The Fort Bragg BOSS Program has its own Facebook page! Check it out and become a Fan
to get updates on everything BOSS has going on for YOU. Great giveaways and event info posted
exclusively for our Facebook fans!! Find us by searching: “Fort Bragg BOSS Program”.
USO Birthday Cake Program: The USO of North Carolina (Fort Bragg Center) generously donates
FREE birthday cupcakes to Single Soldiers every month. All Single Soldiers E-5 and below are eligible
to receive a cupcake and a visit from the BOSS Team/USO during the month of their birthday! Submit
names NLT the 12 th of each month for your unit’s Single Soldiers (with birthdays that month) via
email to the Whitney Burger at whitney.r.burger.naf@mail.mil Please include Name, Rank, DOB,
Unit, POC name w/ cell phone number and SPECIFIC driving directions to the Soldiers’ place of duty.
