Tripp Michael Dahl was
born October 18, 2010 in
Williston, ND to Dana and
Denise (Werre) Dahl, little
brother to Coy Quigley Dahl.
Tripp was one to do everything
on his own time, including
arriving a month
early to his parents surprise.
His strong will and determination
touched everyone he
came in contact with. He
had a way of capturing everyone’s heart with his big blue eyes.
Tripp HAD NO FEAR! He was “All Boy”.
He enjoyed playing outside in his sandbox and going for wagon
rides with his big brother, Coy. If it rained outside, Tripp was the
first one to find the mud puddle and be covered head to toe in mud.
He loved to go fishing and camping at the lake with his family. He
was always willing to give his momma a helping hand feeding and
taking care of the chickens and horses, or just tinkering in the shop
with his dad. Nevertheless, at the end of the day you could always
find Tripp snuggled up tight, with binky and blanket, to his best
buddy, Cooper.
Tripp is survived by his parents, Dana and Denise Dahl, and
brother, Coy of Williston, ND; maternal grandparents, Larry and
Rosalie Werre of Surrey, ND; and fraternal grandmother, Darlene
Dahl of Williston, ND; maternal great-grandmother, Magdalen Regstad
of Minot, ND; aunts and uncles, Darla and Dave Heilman of
Tioga, ND, Renee and Al Moody of Bismarck, ND, Michael and
Shauna Werre of Minot, ND and Michelle and James Peters of
Glenburn, ND; cousins, Andrea, Lynn and Cory Heilman, Jamie
Moody, Calob, Kiel and Mason Werre, and Layton, Taylor, Savanaha,
Riley, and Preston Peters; and of course, his best friend, Cooper.
He was preceded in death by fraternal grandfather, Duane Dahl;
maternal great-grandfather, Lloyd K. Regstad; and uncle, Kevin
Dahl.

A Child Loaned
"I'll lend you for a little time
A child of Mine." He said.
"For you to love the while he lives
And mourn for when he's dead.
It may be six or seven year
Or twenty-two or three
But will you, till I call him back
Take care of him for Me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you
And should his stay be brief,
You'll have his lovely memories
As solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay
Since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there
I want the child to learn.
I've looked this wide world over
In my search for teacher's true,
And from the throngs that crowd life's lanes,
I have selected you;
Now will you give him all your love,
Nor think the labour vain
Nor hate Me when I come to call
And take him back again?
I fancied that I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, They will be done,
For all the joy Thy child shall bring,
For the risk of grief we'll run.
We'll shelter him with tenderness,
We'll love him while we may,
And for the happiness we've known,
Forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."
