produce approximately 12,184 kWh / year on Long Island.<br />

•At Village of <strong>Freeport</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> rates this equals an annual<br />

savings of around $1,340 per year.<br />

•A properly designed and installed 5 kW Solar PV system can<br />

produce approximately 6,092 kWh / year on Long Island.<br />

•At Village of <strong>Freeport</strong> <strong>Electric</strong> rates this equals an annual<br />

savings of around $670 per year.<br />

•$6.50 to $7.50 / Watt average installed cost on Long Island.<br />

•10 kW installed system will cost $65,000 to $75,000 before<br />

<strong>NYPA</strong> Incentive $4 per Watt = $40,000.<br />

<strong>New</strong> <strong>York</strong> State Income tax credit (if eligible) $5,000 maximum.<br />

Federal Income tax credit (if eligible) 30% of after rebate costs. $7,500 to<br />

$10,500 based on actual eligible costs.<br />

required to take advantage of this program. Tax Credits are not<br />

• 4 school buses parked side by side.<br />

• Flat roofs must be less than 5 years old to be considered.<br />

PROGRAMS<br />

• Shingled roofs must be within the first 3 rd of their warranted<br />

life to be considered, i.e., 10 years on a 30 year roof.<br />

• Ground mount installations should be relatively flat and<br />

protected from physical damage by vehicles.


THIS INITATIVE HAS<br />

• 5 - 10 kW Maximum– matched to premise electric load on an<br />

annual basis.<br />

•Existing electrical service must accept socket type metering<br />

equipment.<br />

•Existing electrical service must be free from violations.<br />

•Installation must meet all State and Local codes.<br />

THIS INITATIVE HAS<br />

Interested customers will be contacted for a thorough<br />

site evaluation. Each location will be analyzed and<br />

graded based on orientation, shading, customer load<br />

profile and anticipated solar output. If the location<br />

qualifies, the customer will be asked to provide<br />

documentation supporting their ability to finance the<br />

unrebated portion of the system and proof that they<br />

own the location.<br />
