From the obit found in the Taylor family Bible in the care of Wyllys Hard Taylor, Jr. of Campobello, SC
No spouse or children listed as surviving or deceased ahead of him.
Died in a fit of apoplexy. He suffered from a chronic disease of affected limbs brought on by his exposure during
his service during the Civil War. He enlisted as a private but was promoted to lieutenant.
A graduate of the College of Charleston and later a professor at Newberry College.
He was appointed an agent for the Southern Railway and held that position for approxiomately fifty years.
The funeral was held at the Methodist Church at Graniteville, SC.
