Data not available for Portugal and US. ► Many of the benchmark countries experienced large increases in wholesale prices year on year and as a result the gap between Ireland and the other countries has narrowed significantly. Ireland remains among the most expensive of the benchmark countries in terms of wholesale prices. ► The fact that other markets experienced increases in their wholesale prices later than Ireland could be caused by a range of factors from the fuel mix and associated costs to the local regulatory regime.
