The American Sign Language Linguistic Research Project is a collaborative project,<br />

involving researchers at Boston <strong>University</strong>, Dartmouth College, Rutgers <strong>University</strong>, and<br />

<strong>Gallaudet</strong> <strong>University</strong>.<br />

There are two components: investigation of the syntactic structure of ASL, and<br />

development of multi-media tools to facilitate access to and analysis of primary data for<br />

sign language research. Each of these projects is currently funded by the National<br />
