WELCOME TO THE BOSTON CHILDREN
THEATRE’S 2013 SUMMER STUDIOS!
It is my great pleasure to welcome parents and students to our fifth smash
year of the Boston Children’s Theatre Summer Studios! Whether your child
is a beginner looking for a gentle introduction or an experienced performer,
BCT offers something for all ages and levels. The classes and training
available at BCT are a fun, creative and excellent way to discover any
child’s potential.
This summer we are pleased to offer two convenient locations for our Summer
Studios. Our STUDIO DISCOVERY, STUDIO YOUTH ONE and TWO
programs for ages 4-12 will be held at the Boston Children’s Theatre
Studios on Huntington Avenue in Boston. I must also express my gratitude
to the Governor’s Academy in Byfield, MA for hosting our STUDIO THREE
Intermediate and STUDIO FOUR Advanced programs at their state-of-the-
art facility. To make it even easier, BCT will provide an optional shuttle at
cost to and from our Boston offices to Governor’s Academy.
At BCT, we have many reasons to celebrate. We are thrilled to recognize
our BCT students who are on their way to becoming the future of musical
theater. BCT Summer Studios has become the premier training opportunity
for young people in the greater Boston area. During the past 4 seasons,
our BCT graduates have been universally accepted into the colleges of
their choice, including NYU Tisch, Emerson, Syracuse, Cincinnati Conservatory
of Music, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. We
congratulate them all!
No matter what level you and your child are exploring, BCT offers exceptional
programming for all ages! So bring the suntan lotion and sunglasses;
Boston’s own will be burning brighter than ever beneath BCT’s summer
spotlight!
a 30-minute musical. Children will learn everything from the basics of
Boston Children’s Theatre’s professional theatre educators will not
only lead participants through the rehearsal process, but will also
directions, improvisation and character development. This fun and
interactive program is great for beginners as well as children who
have been in productions before.
