We hope you’ve enjoyed our 2007 Community Report. The Pirates are committed to making a positive impact in our community, and we welcome you to be our partner! If you are interested in working with us on any of the programs or initiatives that you’ve read about in this Report, or have ideas about new ways that we can work together, please let us know. Another way that you can provide financial support is through our Scoreboard Message Program. For a donation to Pirates Charities, you can have a message displayed on the PNC Park scoreboard during a 2008 Pirates home game! From birthday wishes to engagements, the Pirates can help you pass along that special message. If you are interested in the Scoreboard Message program, please visit www.pirates.com/community, call (412) 325-4992 or e-mail us at scoreboardmessages@pirates.com. In-kind Donations The Pirates assist thousands of non-profit organizations each year by providing complimentary tickets to a Pirates game, autographed memorabilia or Pirates promotional items to assist in fundraising efforts. If your group is located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia or Maryland and is interested in receiving an in-kind donation from the Pirates, please send us your request on your organization’s letterhead at least 4 – 6 weeks prior to the date of your event. Be sure to include all the pertinent information and mail the request to the above address. How to Reach Us Visit our website: www.pirates.com/community Mascot Appearances The Pirate Parrot, Captain Jolly Roger and the Pirates Pierogies are available for business and non-profit organization appearances throughout the year. To request an appearance, please submit your request in writing on your organization’s letterhead at least 4 – 6 weeks prior to the date of your event. Please include a brief description of the event, including the date, time and location, and mail your request to the address above. We will make every effort to accommodate as many requests as possible.
