Q & A
Why do I have to pay a health fee every
quarter for Health Services?
Foothill/DeAnza Community Colleges are required to maintain
health services and insurance for campus injuries and accidents for all
registered students.
This means that you are covered for any injuries or accidents that
you have on campus through student insurance.
But what if I already have my own insurance?
You’re lucky. Only about 40% of students have their own
insurance at Foothill College. We need to make sure everyone is
covered for accidents while they are on campus. However, since
we provide secondary coverage, Your insurance covers any bills first
and then Foothill may be billed.
