<strong>Fitzwilliam</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT<br />
(Gardening Department)<br />
The agreement will commence on 1 st October each year and terminate on 30 th<br />
September the following year. Unless advised to the contrary, the agreement will be<br />
deemed to continue into each subsequent year.<br />
2. Services Provided<br />
The agreement shall include all work associated with maintaining the grounds of the<br />
<strong>Fitzwilliam</strong> <strong>College</strong> site and external properties in accordance with the requirements<br />
of the client. In general terms, the grounds, gardens, trees, greenhouses etc will be<br />
maintained to a standard providing a pleasant, relaxing and safe landscape<br />
environment for use by the client, guests and visitors to the <strong>College</strong>. This will pay<br />
due regard to the needs of security (e.g. providing clear sight-lines for CCTV) and<br />
accepted environmental standards with regard to agricultural and arboricultural<br />
treatments. The Gardening Department are not responsibility for the <strong>Fitzwilliam</strong><br />
<strong>College</strong> Sports Field.<br />
3. Monitoring & Reviewing<br />
The service provider (<strong>Fitzwilliam</strong> <strong>College</strong> Gardening staff) and service client<br />
(<strong>Fitzwilliam</strong> <strong>College</strong>) will monitor and review performance on an ongoing basis and<br />
will meet formally to discuss delivery success, at an annual SLA meeting chaired by<br />
the Domestic Bursar, at which all elements of the <strong>College</strong> (JCR, MCR, Fellows and<br />
staff) are represented. In addition, guidance will be given by the Estates Committee,<br />
who should be consulted prior to any major planting or changes.<br />
Work should be planned in such a manner as to reduce disturbance to the <strong>College</strong>.<br />
This is particularly important during examination periods (when the Tutorial Office<br />
