Aims & Scope
Bitlis Eren University Journal of Science and Technology (BEU J SCI & TECHNOL) is an international,
refereed electronic journal. Original research results, scientific reviews and short communication notes in
various fields of science and engineering are considered for publication. The journal encourages submission of
manuscripts dealing with Biology, Medicinal, Biochemistry, Molecular and Genetics, Veterinary and
Agriculture, Physic, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics and also Engineering Sciences.
The journal welcomes full "research papers", ‘'review'', as well as short "research notes". Papers will be
published in English. The primary criteria for publication are scientific quality and scientific significance.
Manuscripts previously published in another journal are not accepted. Manuscripts with a suitable balance of
practice and theory are preferred.
Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must submit as an electronic version by Academic Journals Submission and Evaluation system at
http://science.beu.edu.tr & science@beu.edu.tr. Manuscripts must be typed, one and a half-spaced and
pages should be in A4 format using Times New Roman 11 pt as the advised font. Top, bottom and side
margins should be 25 mm. Pages and lines on all pages, including those for References and figure legends,
must be electronically numbered in the left margin. English is the official language. The Editor-in-Chief
and/or Co-Editors reserve the right to make literary corrections and to make suggestions to improve brevity,
but the paper must be previously revised for English by the authors.
The first page should include the title of the article and the names and address (es) of author(s). Following
pages must include and be in order of: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Material and Methods,
Results and Discussion, Acknowledgements and References.
Title: Title should be a brief phrase describing the contents of the paper. The Title page show and include the
authors' full names and affiliations, the name of the corresponding author along with phone, fax and E-mail
information.
Abstract: An abstract is published at the beginning of each paper. The Abstract should be 100 to 250 words in
length. Standard nomenclature should be used and abbreviations should be avoided. In general, non-standard
abbreviations should be used only when the full term is very long and used often. Each abbreviation should be
spelled out and introduced in parentheses the first time it is used in the text. Only recommended SI units
should be used. Authors should use the solidus presentation (mg/ml). Standard abbreviations (such as ATP
and DNA) need not be defined. No literature should be cited.
Keywords: Please suggest no more than five keywords for the paper.
Introduction: The introduction should provide a clear statement of the problem, the relevant literature on
the subject, and the proposed approach or solution. It should be understandable to colleagues from a broad
range of scientific disciplines.
Material and Methods: Without giving unnecessary details, used materials and applied methods in the study
should be included with appropriate references in clear and accurate statements.
Results and Discussion: The results obtained from the study should be reported clearly. The study should be
discussed with related literatures and critical implications should be given.
Acknowledgements: If necessary, acknowledgements to sponsor(s) and assisting individual(s) should be
given as short as possible before reference list.
Literature Cited and Reference List: Author citations in the text must be as follows: Aykut (2008), Bagci &
Aykut (2008) or Aykut et al. (2009) if within a sentence; (Aykut 2008), (Bagci & Aykut 2008) or (Aykut et al.
2009) if at the end of a sentence. If several papers are cited simultaneously, they should be put in
