Aims & Scope<br />

<strong>Bitlis</strong> <strong>Eren</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>Journal</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Science</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Technology</strong> (BEU J SCI & TECHNOL) is an international,<br />

refereed electronic journal. Original research results, scientific reviews <strong>and</strong> short communication notes in<br />

various fields <strong>of</strong> science <strong>and</strong> engineering are considered for publication. The journal encourages submission <strong>of</strong><br />

manuscripts dealing with Biology, Medicinal, Biochemistry, Molecular <strong>and</strong> Genetics, Veterinary <strong>and</strong><br />

Agriculture, Physic, Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics <strong>and</strong> also Engineering <strong>Science</strong>s.<br />

The journal welcomes full "research papers", ‘'review'', as well as short "research notes". Papers will be<br />

published in English. The primary criteria for publication are scientific quality <strong>and</strong> scientific significance.<br />

Manuscripts previously published in another journal are not accepted. Manuscripts with a suitable balance <strong>of</strong><br />

practice <strong>and</strong> theory are preferred.<br />

Manuscript Preparation<br />

Manuscripts must submit as an electronic version by Academic <strong>Journal</strong>s Submission <strong>and</strong> Evaluation system at<br />

http://science.beu.edu.tr & science@beu.edu.tr. Manuscripts must be typed, one <strong>and</strong> a half-spaced <strong>and</strong><br />

pages should be in A4 format using Times New Roman 11 pt as the advised font. Top, bottom <strong>and</strong> side<br />

margins should be 25 mm. Pages <strong>and</strong> lines on all pages, including those for References <strong>and</strong> figure legends,<br />

must be electronically numbered in the left margin. English is the <strong>of</strong>ficial language. The Editor-in-Chief<br />

<strong>and</strong>/or Co-Editors reserve the right to make literary corrections <strong>and</strong> to make suggestions to improve brevity,<br />

but the paper must be previously revised for English by the authors.<br />

The first page should include the title <strong>of</strong> the article <strong>and</strong> the names <strong>and</strong> address (es) <strong>of</strong> author(s). Following<br />

pages must include <strong>and</strong> be in order <strong>of</strong>: Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Material <strong>and</strong> Methods,<br />

Results <strong>and</strong> Discussion, Acknowledgements <strong>and</strong> References.<br />

Title: Title should be a brief phrase describing the contents <strong>of</strong> the paper. The Title page show <strong>and</strong> include the<br />

authors' full names <strong>and</strong> affiliations, the name <strong>of</strong> the corresponding author along with phone, fax <strong>and</strong> E-mail<br />

information.<br />

Abstract: An abstract is published at the beginning <strong>of</strong> each paper. The Abstract should be 100 to 250 words in<br />

length. St<strong>and</strong>ard nomenclature should be used <strong>and</strong> abbreviations should be avoided. In general, non-st<strong>and</strong>ard<br />

abbreviations should be used only when the full term is very long <strong>and</strong> used <strong>of</strong>ten. Each abbreviation should be<br />

spelled out <strong>and</strong> introduced in parentheses the first time it is used in the text. Only recommended SI units<br />

should be used. Authors should use the solidus presentation (mg/ml). St<strong>and</strong>ard abbreviations (such as ATP<br />

<strong>and</strong> DNA) need not be defined. No literature should be cited.<br />

Keywords: Please suggest no more than five keywords for the paper.<br />

Introduction: The introduction should provide a clear statement <strong>of</strong> the problem, the relevant literature on<br />

the subject, <strong>and</strong> the proposed approach or solution. It should be underst<strong>and</strong>able to colleagues from a broad<br />

range <strong>of</strong> scientific disciplines.<br />

Material <strong>and</strong> Methods: Without giving unnecessary details, used materials <strong>and</strong> applied methods in the study<br />

should be included with appropriate references in clear <strong>and</strong> accurate statements.<br />

Results <strong>and</strong> Discussion: The results obtained from the study should be reported clearly. The study should be<br />

discussed with related literatures <strong>and</strong> critical implications should be given.<br />

Acknowledgements: If necessary, acknowledgements to sponsor(s) <strong>and</strong> assisting individual(s) should be<br />

given as short as possible before reference list.<br />

Literature Cited <strong>and</strong> Reference List: Author citations in the text must be as follows: Aykut (2008), Bagci &<br />

Aykut (2008) or Aykut et al. (2009) if within a sentence; (Aykut 2008), (Bagci & Aykut 2008) or (Aykut et al.<br />

2009) if at the end <strong>of</strong> a sentence. If several papers are cited simultaneously, they should be put in<br />
