DEFINITION OF CLASSES<br />

OLYMPIAN CLASS Open to Imperial titled cats only<br />

IMPERIAL GRAND CHAMPION: <strong>Cat</strong>s of Full Grand Champion status only<br />

IMPERIAL GRAND PREMIER: <strong>Cat</strong>s of Full Grand Premier status only<br />

CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS: <strong>Cat</strong>s of Full Champion status only.<br />

PREMIER OF PREMIERS: <strong>Cat</strong>s of Full Premier status only<br />

BREED CLASSES: Untitled cats of the specified breed. (Must be GCCF registered.)<br />

CATS: Not less than 9 calendar months on the day of the Show. (born on, or before,<br />

17.11.12)<br />

KITTENS: Not less than 14 weeks and under 9 months of age on the day of the Show. (Born<br />

between 17.11.12 and 11.5.13)<br />

Neuter kittens should be entered in ordinary kitten classes.<br />

NEUTERS: Neutered cats, both male and female. Neuters may only be entered in the neuter<br />

classes and not compete against entire cats or kittens except in <strong>Club</strong> classes that are<br />

scheduled to include neuters. Where Best in Show is held the best Neuter will be<br />

considered against the best Entire Adult and Kitten for overall Best Exhibit.<br />

DEBUTANTE: Exhibits that have never been shown. Being shown as a Kitten does not count when<br />

the exhibit is shown as a Neuter or Adult and being shown as an Adult does not<br />

count when shown as a Neuter.<br />

LIMIT: Exhibits that have not won more than 4 First prizes under GCCF Rules.<br />

NOVICE: Exhibits that have not won a First prize under GCCF Rules.<br />

MAIDEN: Exhibits that have never won a First, Second or Third prize under GCCF Rules.<br />

BREEDERS: Exhibits bred by Exhibitor(s). <strong>Cat</strong>s originally registered in the Breeders’ joint<br />

ownership and changed to single ownership of one of the Breeders can be entered in<br />

this class but cats originally registered in the Breeder’s single ownership and<br />

subsequently changed to joint ownership with the breeder should be entered in the<br />

Non-Breeders class.<br />

NON-BREEDERS: Exhibits not bred by the exhibitor or in joint ownership with the Breeder.<br />

ADOLESCENT: <strong>Cat</strong>s between 9 months and 15 months of age on the day of the Show.<br />

JUNIOR: <strong>Cat</strong>s between 9 months and 2 years of age on the day of the Show.<br />

SENIOR: <strong>Cat</strong>s over the age of 2 years on the day of the Show.<br />

ARISTOCRAT: <strong>Cat</strong>s with one or two certificates but are not Full Champions or Premiers.<br />

RADIUS: Exhibits living within 35 miles of the Show venue.<br />

VISITORS: Exhibits living more than 35 miles from the Show venue.<br />

ZODIAC: Date of birth relevant to the sign of the zodiac. Pedigree exhibits only.<br />

NOTE: The status of the exhibit for the entering restricted classes (eg Maiden. Limit) shall be the cat’s<br />

status on the day of entry, except where Section 2, Rule 15e applies. The “wins” as a kitten do not count<br />

when the exhibit is shown as an Adult or Neuter. The “wins” as an Adult do not count as a Neuter. Merit<br />

awards do not count as “wins” for entering restricted classes.<br />

HOUSEHOLD PETS: Non-Pedigree pets are unregistered cats from unregistered or unknown parents, of<br />

traditional "moggie" appearance. Pedigree pets are cats of pedigree appearance or with known or unknown<br />

full or half pedigree background. They must be entered under their pet name, without prefixes, pedigree<br />

titles, or breed numbers. Both non pedigree and pedigree pets compete for certificates which will ultimately<br />

lead to the titles of Master <strong>Cat</strong>, Grand Master <strong>Cat</strong> and Imperial Grand Master <strong>Cat</strong>. Both are judged<br />

according to the normal household pet criteria only: presentation, condition, temperament and personality.<br />

<strong>Cat</strong>s or kittens OVER 6 MONTHS OF AGE must be neutered.<br />

HAPPY FAMILIES: Number of cats in the household. These classes are for household pets only.<br />
