CoRonA 350
The FLIR Corona 350 combines an Ultra Violet camera, a color video camera, and a FLIR thermographic camera,
creating a comprehensive utility imaging system; detect coronas, find hot spots, and document easement
encroachment, all with one system.
The Corona 350 overlays its Ultra Violet and color TV video signals to create an image that allows operators to
detect corona discharges – areas of ionized air – that can damage insulators and other electrical components. The
early detection of coronas by aerial inspection is a fast and efficient method of reducing maintenance costs.
Corona’s longwave radiometric camera allows the operator see hot spots in transmission lines, and provides
precise temperature measurements for immediate action or trending. The camera stores images and relevant
temperature data internally.
The Corona 350 system comes with FLIR’s
ThermaCAM Reporter software, the industrystandard
reporting application. Predictive
Maintenance departments around the
world use Reporter to retrieve, analyze, and
present comprehensive thermal inspection
data, including temperature measurements,
images, and text notes.
Integrated in small, lightweight, gyrostabilized
composite gimbals, Corona 350
system gives operators precise, effortless
control, allowing them to zero in on potential
trouble areas while operating from a safe
distance. Both systems feature integrated
GPS receivers for full geo-referencing of
on-screen findings.
