Our Aims:
German Aviation Research Society e.V.
An International Network for Research in Aviation
Who we are and what we do:
G.A.R.S. originated from an informal network of German academics conducting
research on aviation economics. Today members come from all over the world and
comprise academics as well as those directly involved in the industry.
We organize conferences and workshops on aviation topics, e g: Predatory Behaviour
in Aviation, The Future of Hubs, The Regulation of Airports, Slot Allocation, Airport
Competition, Airport Benchmarking, Liberalization of Air Transport (details below).
We publish books on aviation topics (in co-operation with Ashgate Publishing).
We support students and junior researchers, with special workshops to give them
opportunities to present work and discuss it with established aviation economists.
