Friends in the Garden Plant
Sale. Purchase annuals, perennials,
native plants, gourd inspired birdfeeders,
lady bugs and preying mantises & more!
Walking Tour of the FCS
Arboretum. Learn about the
arboretum’s rich history from a guide map
which highlights a selection of trees.
Earth Day Inspired Events:
Buy school-grown vegetables and
herbs and young trees from the
Environmental Awareness Club. See the
“green” science projects created by L/M
& US students. Learn about composting
and reclaiming rain water from MS
Service. Order a rain barrel too! Choose
an US inspired botanical print for your
home.
Live Music courtesy of Doug
Linton’s Blue Grass Band.
Recyclables Collection.
Bring in new or gently used sports
equipment, cell phones, printer
cartridges, pull tabs and eyeglasses
for charity.
Scheduled Events:
The 5K & 1 Mile Races.
Registration: 11:00 - 12:00.
5K Race: 12:00.
1 Mile Race follows the 5K.
Awards Ceremony: 2:30.
For Kids. Green-friendly
crafts: fish print t-shirts, bird
feeders, clay pots with plants. Nature
inspired face painting. 12:00 - 3:00.
Dig In with Mr. Grove. Learn
how to prep a garden bed and make a
fence. 12:30 - 3:00. (½ hourly demos)
Riverbend presents the
“Web of Life” with reptiles & friends.
1:30 – 2:00.
Tug-of-Peace w/Mr. Warley, 2:00.
6 th Annual Children’s
Concert for Peace.

IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to compete, officiate, observe,
work for, or participate in any way in the EVENT, as referenced above,
the undersigned, for himself/herself, his/her children, his/her personal
representatives, heirs, and next of kin:
1. HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES, AND DISCHARGES Friends’ Central
School, its officers, directors, employees and/or agents/volunteers FROM
ALL LIABILITY TO THE UNDERSIGNED, his/her child/children, his/her
personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin FOR ANY AND ALL
LOSS OR DAMAGE ON ACCOUNT OF INJURY TO THE PERSON OR
PROPERTY OR RESULTING IN THE DEATH OF THE UNDERSIGNED or
the minor child or minor children of the undersigned ARISING OUT OF OR
RELATING TO THE EVENT, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE
OF FRIENDS’ CENTRAL SCHOOL OR OTHERWISE.
2. HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS
Friends’ Central School FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY, DAMAGE, OR COST
he/she may incur arising out of or related to the EVENT WHETHER
CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF FRIENDS’ CENTRAL SCHOOL or
otherwise.
3. HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY RISK OF
BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE arising out of or
related to the EVENT, whether caused by the NEGLIGENCE OF FRIENDS’
CENTRAL SCHOOL or otherwise.
4. HEREBY acknowledges that THE ACTIVITIES OF THE EVENT involve a
risk of serious injury and/or death and/or property damage.
5. HEREBY agrees that this Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of
Risk and Indemnity Agreement extends to all acts of negligence by Friends’
Central School and is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted
by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and that, if any of these
terms are held to be invalid or unenforceable, it is agreed that the balance of
these terms shall, nevertheless, continue in full legal force and effect.
I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY,
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, FULLY
UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP
SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT, AND HAVE SIGNED IT FREELY
AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE OR
GUARANTEE BEING MADE TO ME AND INTEND MY SIGNATURE TO BE
A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO
THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW FOR ME AND MY MINOR
