Directions to the Skate Park
From Washington, Virginia, and other points south:
Take I-495 toward Bethesda and Rockville. Exit onto I-
270 toward Frederick. Continue on I-270 for about 8
miles. Take Exit 9A onto I-370. Bear right following signs
to Gaithersburg Towne Center. Take Exit 2, Gaithersburg
Towne Center to 355 north. Continue on 355
(Frederick Ave) to third traffic light. Turn left onto Education
Blvd. (This is a shared entrance with Gaithersburg
High School). Follow circle to third driveway. Continue
to parking lot. The Skate Park is behind the large
brick building on the right.
From Frederick, Pennsylvania, and other points north:
Take I-270 south toward Rockville. Take Exit 11. At the
end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Quince Orchard
Road. At the second light, turn right onto Route 355
(Frederick Ave). Continue south on 355. After crossing
the Railroad Bridge, turn right at the second light onto
Education Blvd. (This is a shared entrance with
Gaithersburg High School). Follow circle to third driveway.
Continue to parking lot. The Skate Park is behind
the large red brick building on the right.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Learn the basics to skateboarding or improve
your skills! Our private instructors tailor each
lesson to accommodate your skill level.
All lessons last one hour.

Prices are valid for ONE participant.
All ages are welcome.
Skaters are must bring their own skateboard.
Use of protective rental gear during the lesson
is included in the cost.
If a lesson is canceled due to inclement
weather, it will be rescheduled on a day convenient
for both the student and instructor.
Make-up lessons will not be rescheduled if
participants are late or do not show for their
session.

HOW TO BOOK
PRIVATE LESSONS & PARTIES
1. Contact the Skate Park supervisor, Maura
Dinwiddie, at 301-258-6350 x168 or email
skatepark@gaithersburgmd.gov to submit
your request.
2. Lessons and parties must be booked at least
one week prior to the requested date. To
ensure that your desired date is available,
please submit requests as early as possible.
3. Full payment is required to confirm reservations.
4. Payment may only be submitted after the
requested date/time is coordinated.
5. Skating is unsafe in rainy or wet conditions.
Parties and lessons will be rescheduled in
the event of inclement weather. Refund
requests must be submitted in writing.

SCHOOL OF SKATE
The City of Gaithersburg Skate Park offers group
skateboarding lessons in the spring and fall, as well
as summer clinics. Check out our website at

about registering for School of Skate sessions!
WAIVER REQUIREMENT
A signed liability waiver is REQUIRED to skate. Waivers
are available at the Skate Park or can be
downloaded from our website. A parent or guardian
signature is required for individuals under the age of

PARK FEATURES
Our ramps are constructed with a wood frame and
Skatelite exterior. The flat ground skating surface is
coated with an ultra-smooth acrylic top layer, allowing
even speed for your skating pleasure. Obstacles
include an A-frame ramp & rail, mini-half pipe, 7-6'
escalator ramp, stairs, pyramid wedge, fun boxes,
wall ride, quarters and banks.
