Getting Licensed
When you are ready to apply for your license (teaching or administrative), you should
contact the Teachers Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) to find out what your
specific requirements are.
Generally speaking, TSPC will require you to fill out an application form (C-1 form,
available on the TSPC website) and submit it along with your application fee, original test
scores and official transcripts. Make sure that your paperwork is complete; TSPC will
NOT process your application until they have all of the required components.
In addition, in order to have George Fox University recommend you for a license, you
need to complete the License Recommendation Request form (available from your
advisor or Julie Green) and send it to the EDFL Office along with original copies of any
relevant test scores (if you have not already had them sent.) Your file is then audited, the
appropriate program director validates its completion, and then the form is submitted to
TSPC online on your behalf.
TSPC will issue your new license (subject to their final approval) within a few weeks by
mail.
For administrative licensure and added teaching endorsement/authorization
recommendations, please mail or fax your License Recommendation form to:
