Texas, in 2006. This DVD features works by world-renowned
composers and virtuoso soloists, including very rare footage of
Eugene Corporon and the North Texas Wind
Symphony/Grand Chorus
This DVD presents a rare opportunity to experience great music
making and artistry in a “live” performance setting. This recording
of the complete wind version of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana is one
that every teacher and ensemble should experience. The opening
work, David Dzubay’s Ra!, is an adventure in primitivism. Keiko Abe
and Mark Ford are in their prime as marimba soloists on Abe’s Prism
Rhapsody II. This DVD demonstrates the excitement that can be
generated in live concerts and captures the magic of the moment.
