Notes: Although the choral sections add vocal variety to the piece, the entire Gloria may be performed with (a)<br />
cantor(s) taking the soprano line of the choral sections (expect for measures 97-104 where the cantor(s) should<br />
sing in unison with the assembly). In addition, although the score notes that the assembly’s part in measures<br />
53-56, 61-64, and 69-72 is optional, every effort should be made to encourage their singing at these points.<br />
A part for two woodwinds in C (G-5327WW) and parts for brass quintet and timpani (G-5327INST) are<br />
available separately from the publisher. This setting is taken from Mass for John Carroll, First Bishop of the<br />
