CUSTOMER WILL CALL<br />

A <strong>Cadillac</strong> dealer can make arrangements<br />
for a retail customer to take delivery of a car<br />
at the factory. Such a delivery is designated<br />
as a Customer Will Call - CWC.<br />
Factory delivery is available at Detroit<br />
only.<br />
DELIVERY DATE<br />
Reservations for a delivery date should<br />
be made, well in advance, with the Zone<br />
Office. Zone Office will confirm this date to<br />
the dealer.<br />
RELEASE FORMS (CAD 3868)<br />
Enclosed with the Acknowledgment<br />
form will be a set of Release forms that contain<br />
the specifications and customer's name.<br />
Instructions for completing the necessary<br />
release forms are on the acknowledgment<br />
form (CAD 3864).<br />
The blue copy of the release form is to<br />
be signed by the customer in the dealer's<br />
presence and mailed (in the envelope provided)<br />
as soon as possible. Customer is to<br />
present pink copy at time of delivery. White<br />
copy to be retained by dealer.<br />
The customer will be required to countersign<br />
the blue copy at time of delivery.<br />
PROCEDURE<br />
When the confirmed "CWC" date is received,<br />
a copy of the order form (CAD<br />
5600A) should be sent to the Zone Office.<br />
The confirmed delivery date should be entered<br />
and the CUSTOMER'S NAME AND<br />
ADDRESS shown. "CWC" must appear at<br />
the top of the form and in the "SHIP TO"<br />
space.<br />
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FORM<br />
(CAD 3864)<br />
An acknowledgment of the request for<br />
"CWC" delivery is mailed shortly after the<br />
order is received at Central Office.<br />
The acknowledgment form (CAD 3864)<br />
will show the complete specifications of the<br />
order, customer's name and address and the<br />
confirmed date of delivery.<br />
This form should be carefully checked<br />
and any discrepancies reported to your Zone<br />
Office.<br />
THIRD PARTY<br />
If a third party is to take delivery, the<br />
reverse side of the release must be completed<br />
by the purchaser and signed by individual<br />
accepting delivery. This release must be presented<br />
by third party in order to secure delivery<br />
of car.<br />
LICENSE PLATES<br />
License plates should be Air Mailed-<br />
Special Delivery, using the label provided so<br />
that they arrive prior to "CWC" date.<br />
If customer will bring license plates, this<br />
should be indicated on the blue release form.<br />
VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION<br />
NUMBER<br />
A telegram containing the Vehicle Identification<br />
number will be sent to the dealer as<br />
soon as it is available.<br />
