For free, friendly local walks up to an hour long<br />

led by trained volunteers.<br />

<strong>Summer</strong>’s here so take some time out to explore the lovely parks, greenspaces and<br />

waterways <strong>Glasgow</strong> has to offer. Most walks last for about 1 hour and are up to 2.5<br />

miles long. They are a great way to get more active and meet new people.<br />

So come along and take the first steps to a healthier, happier you. With over 50<br />

health walks taking place every week across the city you are spoilt for choice!<br />

We welcome people of all abilities on the <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Walks</strong>. Wherever possible we will<br />

adjust routes to improve accessibility. Please call the Walk <strong>Glasgow</strong> Co-ordinator on<br />

0141 287 0963 if you would like more information about a certain walk to help us<br />

assess how we can make it more suitable for you.<br />

The Countryside Ranger Service celebrates<br />

its 30th anniversary in <strong>2013</strong>. The<br />

Countryside Ranger Service is citywide,<br />

covering over 90 parks, Local Nature<br />

Reserves and greenspaces in <strong>Glasgow</strong>.<br />

We deliver the curriculum for excellence<br />

through outdoor learning to schools, carry<br />

out wildlife and access surveys, run a<br />

diary of countryside events and carry out<br />

conservation work with volunteers to take<br />

positive action against biodiversity loss.<br />
