Offshore benthic community objective: Rehabilitate native prey species (pg. 5)<br />

Lake Erie (Ryan et al. 2003)<br />

Rare, threatened <strong>and</strong> endangered species: Prevent extinction by protecting rare,<br />

threatened, <strong>and</strong> endangered fish species (<strong>for</strong> example, <strong>lake</strong> sturgeon <strong>and</strong> <strong>lake</strong> herring)<br />

<strong>and</strong> their habitats (p. 41).<br />

Lake Huron (DesJardine et al. 1995)<br />

Coregonine (Lake whitefish <strong>and</strong> ciscoes) objective: Restore <strong>lake</strong> herring to a significant<br />
