January 1940 Enrollment, 10 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg January 3, 1940) Harley Lee Carr, Lambert Dobbins, Bertram Grogg, Hoy Hoover, Kenneth Paul Lewis, Rupert Powell, Eli Wilmoth, Jr., Oril Dean Wilson, Alfred Jason Frashure, and Walton Marks, Jr. All of the recruits were sent to Fort Benjamin Harrison near Indianapolis, Indiana. July 1940 Enrollment, 10 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg July 8, 1940) Lawrence Dale Cox, Letter Gap; Gilbert Ray McCullough, Sand Fork; Dennis Steele McCullough, Stout’s Mills; James Robert Richardson, Normantown; Harlan Snyder, Gilmer; Blaine Brown Weaver, Eva; Earl Wilson, DeKalb; Fred Cook, Lockney; James Fred Persinger, Linn; and Harry Sylvanus Wilfong, Stout’s Mills. All recruits will be located at Camp 2586 in Durbin, Pocahontas County. October 1940 Enrollment, 8 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg October 1, 1940) Lonnie Gust Carlson, Stout’s Mills; William Edwon Jones, Glenville; Tom Luzader, Glenville; Frank Miller, Perkins; Walter Moyers, Stout’s Mills; Wilson Alvin Reed, Glenville; Clarence Virgil Taylor, Glenville; and Alden Paige Waggoner, Cox’s Mills. January 1941 Enrollment, 11 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg January 14, 1941) Jack Donald Burk(e), Sand Fork; Denzil Ray Butler; Hayward Edwards; William Edward Ellison; Harold Bernard Garrett; Lawrence Dennis Howell; Coye Jerome Lowther; Leman Oley McCullough; Verald Alvin Peggs; John Burl Willis; and Blaine Erlewine. All recruits will be located at a camp in Hedgesville, Berkeley County. Additional January 1941 Enrollment, 10 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg January 27, 1941) Arthur Frymier, near Burnt House; Brooks King, Ernest Rutherford, Jr., and Ronald Dennis Wilmouth, Glenville; Stanley Langford and Harry Mason, Cox’s Mills; Herbert Mowery, Stout’s Mills; Eulace Paul Skidmore, Shock; Scott Junior Baker and Elsie Benton Snyder, Gilmer. All recruits will go to a CCC distribution center at Yellow Springs, Ohio.
February Enrollment, 5 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg February 25, 1941) Charles Douglas Isenhart, Cedarville (sent to Berkeley Springs camp); Hoy Stewart Keith, Linn; James Earl Moss, Glenville; and Ralph Edward Rodgers, Shock (sent to Hedgesville camp); and Paul Emerson Wolfe, Rosedale (sent to Berkeley Springs camp). April 1941 Enrollment, 24 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg April 5, 1941) Franklin Adams, Earl Batton, Cecil Davis, Jr., William Jennings Luzader, Robin Powell, and Okey Bernard Stalnaker, Glenville; Charles Black, Baldwin; Russell Collins and Mason Townsend, Sand Fork; Delbert Ray Gainer, Troy; Jesse Howard Groves, near Sand Ridge; Ernest Ressie Hamric, Perkins; James Helbert Lamb, DeKalb; Kenneth Paul Lewis, Revere; Raymond Jones and Creed Simmons, Cox’s Mills; Forrest Don Minney, Rosedale; Dallis Munroe Norman, Shock; Meigs Richards and Waitman Eugene Tomey, Linn; and Frederick Wilson Smith, Lockney. Recruits were sent to camps at Hedgesville, Berkeley County; Pickens, Randolph County; and Morgantown, Monongalia County. Additional April 1941 Enrollment, 4 Recruits (departed April 19, 1941) Doy Scott Bush, Cox’s Mills; John Edward Hays, Jr., Sand Fork; Goodlow Stump, Gilmer; and Forrest Yoak, Sand Fork. All were sent to the camp at Morgantown. July 1941 Enrollment, 4 Recruits (departed for Clarksburg July 11, 1941) Lambert C. Dobbins, Perkins; Bernard Hays Erlewine, Withers; Parker Chapman Pritt, Cedarville; and Freddie Junior Snyder, Cedarville. All recruits were sent to the camp at Yellow Springs, Ohio. August 1941 Enrollment, 2 Recruits (departed August 25, 1941) Junior Lake, Shock and Lloyd Frederick Wilmouth, Stout’s Mills. Recruits inducted into the CCC camp at Beverly.
