Coelurosaurs: Oviraptor<br />

• Name means “egg predator”… early discoveries of Oviraptor were<br />

near nests, which were thought to be Ceratopsian nests<br />

• Recent discoveries show the nests were Oviraptor nests, with eggs<br />

containing fossilized chicks<br />

Ornithomimids<br />

• “Ostrich” <strong>dinosaurs</strong>, because they resemble the body plan of an<br />

ostrich… long legs, long neck, fast runners<br />
