Specification<br />

All apartments at Salisbury Court are constructed using a<br />

'Structural Insulated Panel' for the main structural frame.<br />

These panels consist of a core of high insulation foam<br />

sandwiched between layers of timber board.<br />

Panels are joined together using a unique sealed jointing<br />

system which helps keep the amount of air passing through<br />

joints in your home to a minimum. When combined with<br />

the high thermal insulation properties of the panel, the air<br />

tight construction enables a highly energy efficient home.<br />

Living areas are heated by sealed radiators with built in<br />

thermostats and flexible 7 day programmers. There is a<br />

heating element within each radiator so each room or zone<br />

only ever needs to receive the heat required. There are no<br />

pipes leading to and from radiator positions and so heat loss<br />

normally associated with pipe runs is eliminated.<br />

Whilst Gladstone Homes are unable to do anything about<br />

energy prices, the energy efficient construction combined<br />

with efficient heating does have an impact on how much<br />

energy apartment owners use.
