Specification 

All apartments at Salisbury Court are constructed using a 

'Structural Insulated Panel' for the main structural frame. 

These panels consist of a core of high insulation foam 

sandwiched between layers of timber board. 

Panels are joined together using a unique sealed jointing 

system which helps keep the amount of air passing through 

joints in your home to a minimum. When combined with 

the high thermal insulation properties of the panel, the air 

tight construction enables a highly energy efficient home. 

Living areas are heated by sealed radiators with built in 

thermostats and flexible 7 day programmers. There is a 

heating element within each radiator so each room or zone 

only ever needs to receive the heat required. There are no 

pipes leading to and from radiator positions and so heat loss 

normally associated with pipe runs is eliminated. 

Whilst Gladstone Homes are unable to do anything about 

energy prices, the energy efficient construction combined 

with efficient heating does have an impact on how much 

energy apartment owners use.
