been interested in heart failure
for a long time and wanted to be
involved in research, and Baylor
offered a very good track where
I could pursue clinical activities
and be involved in high level research
at an early phase of my
career.” He spent two years in
the laboratory of Douglas Mann,
where he conducted the research for
which he received the Young Investigator
