EXPLORERS (Ages 11-13) is an action packed week of exploration and discovery in the natural world. Based at Camp Mockingee which is located
twenty minutes outside of Windsor/Chester in Upper Vaughan, N.S., the program draws its inspiration and foundation from the lessons taught to us by
wild creatures of our forests and waterways. They have learned to live in harmony with their wild habitats over thousands of years. Their wisdom
and survival strategies guide the wilderness explorations of our Explorers throughout this 6 day/5night adventure experience. Campers will enjoy, hiking,
canoeing, swimming, camfires and more in the company of new friends!
LEAD (Ages 13-15) This is a summer adventure about leadership, discovery and making a difference for the earth. For six days and five nights, using Camp
Mockingee as a base camp, young people work as a team of new friends, traveling through old enchanted forests, learning from each other, and sharing
interests and stories around the campfire. Through fun activities and group challenges, meeting inspirational community leaders, and a variety of outdoor
experiences, participants learn skills to make a difference back at home and in their community. There will be trips to explore environmentally friendly
choices and opportunities to participate in meaningful service to others and to interact with environmental leaders in nearby communities. Come join us
and bring a friend, as we sit around the campfire, sit out under stars, hike through the woods, canoe on the lake, laugh, sing and share as a team!
