Programs for girls entering grades 1-5 Just a Taste June 16-18 • June 23-25 • July 7-9 Entering Grades: 4-5 Cost: $180 A special mini session for first-time campers offers a sampling of camp life including: swimming, games, nature activities, arts and crafts, and a cookout. Come for just a taste and we bet you’ll want to come back for more! On My Own June 16-18 • July 7-9 Entering Grades: 1-3 Cost: $180 If you are a first-time camper, you will love this sample of camp life! Make a fire and cook over it, learn to tie knots and use basic camp tools, play lots of games, sing new songs, and explore the secrets of the forest. * You must have spent at least one night away from home before registering for camp. SPART June 16-21 Entering Grades: 3-5 Cost: $330 So you are a sporty girl who loves art? Combine the two and come to SPART! In addition to volleyball, soccer, kickball, and boating, you will delve into painting, beadwork, basketry, and candle making. Step to the Beat June 19-21 Entering Grades: 1-3 Cost: $185 You’ll be popping and locking with your new camp friends while you learn simple routines to your favorite Disney tunes and put on a dance show for your family and friends at 12:30pm on Friday! Let It Grow! June 23-25 Entering Grades: 1-3 Cost: $180 Come to camp to find out what we must do to keep our earth growing! Sing along with the Lorax and learn how to ‘let it grow’! Outdoor Favorites June 23-28 Entering Grades: 4-5 Cost: $320 Join us for an action-packed week of outdoor fun focused on boating, hiking, pioneering and outdoor cooking! Skim across the reservoir in kayaks and canoes on Paddling Day, trek the Rocky Sunshine Trail on Hiking Day, dip candles and bake homemade bread and jam on Pioneer Day, and create delicacies such as Dutch Oven pineapple upside down cake on Outdoor Gourmet Cooking Day. Nonstop action! Search for the Treasure June 30 - July 5 Entering Grades: 2-4 Cost: $330 Learn to use a GPS to look for geocaches at camp and nearby parks. When you are ready, go to work searching for treasure buried at camp—only you can find it! Tweedale Extravaganza June 30 - July 5 • July 14-19 Entering Grades: 4-5 Cost: $320 Here’s a session for girls who want to do a bit of everything! Explore other cultures on International Day, play volleyball, archery, and soccer on Sports Day, frolic in the water carnival on Pool Day, and check out the reservoir from kayaks and canoes on Water Day! Nonstop action! A Bit of Everything July 7-12 Entering Grades: 4-5 Cost: $320 Are you ready for a week of nonstop action? ABOE features an extensive creative project on Art Day, and hip hop, soccer and volleyball on Dance and Sports Day. For Cooking Day, you’ll work with our international counselors to create and sample dishes from other countries, Boating Day will provide the opportunity to cruise around the lake in a silver canoe, and on Pool Day you’ll have a water carnival in addition to your regular swim time. Tweedale Princess July 14-16 Entering Grades: 1-2 Cost: $185 Come to camp and be a Tweedale Princess! Cook a meal like Cinderella, swim under the water like Ariel, and canoe around the bend like Pocahontas. Make your own tiara and join the Parade of Princesses! Princess costumes are welcome but definitely not required! Fun on the Farm July 21- 23 Entering Grades: 2-4 Cost: $199 Learn about farm animals at camp before traveling to a Lancaster farm, where you’ll get to feed the animals and milk a cow! Little Camp on the Prairie July 21-26 • July 28 - August 2 Entering Grades: 2-4 Cost: $330 Journey back 150 years to the childhood of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Dip candles, make butter and jam, bake homemade bread, dance the Virginia Reel, weave a basket from natural materials, and live the life of a pioneer! Goo Glop & Fizz July 24-26 Entering Grades: 2-3 Cost: $185 Come be a scientist at camp! We’ll make glop, experiment with light and color, grow crystals, create static electricity, and make our own paper. You’ll see just how fun science can be. Night Owls July 28 - Aug 2 Entering Grades: 4-5 Cost: $325 Curious about mysteries of the night? Take a night hike, check out the constellations in the Starlab and take your newfound knowledge outside for star gazing, learn about the adaptations of the magnificent owl and other nocturnal critters, and have fun after dark. Stay up late, sleep in, and rise in time for late morning activities. Splish Splash July 28 - August 2 Entering Grades: 4-5 Cost: $320 On a hot summer day, there is no better place to be than the pool, and during this week you will spend plenty of time playing water games, having a floating lunch and an evening luau. Continue with refreshing water activities on land with a creek hike, and a water balloon games. Come stay cool with us this summer! Programs for Girls Entering Grades 4-9 First Time for Everything June 16-18 • July 17-19 Entering Grades: 5-7 Cost: $180 If you have never been to camp and want to see what it is all about, this week is for you! Girls will check out what camp has to offer, including swimming, boating, arts and crafts, archery, cooking out, and meeting lots of new friends. You’re never too old to try camp for the first time! Hip Hop ‘Til You Drop June 16-21 Entering Grades: 4-7 Cost: $325 Come try out dance and hip hop moves! You’ll be popping and locking with your new friends as you learn simple routines to your favorite tunes and put on a dance show for your family and friends at 12:30 on Friday. New and experienced dancers welcome! Kayak Attack June 16-21 Entering Grades: 5-7 Cost: $320 Come to camp and spend time in our fleet of kayaks. Learn how to get out of the boat if it flips and play tag with your friends on the reservoir. You will learn the basics of kayaking and have plenty of time out on the water to hone your new skills. The highlight of your week will be a kayak treasure hunt! * See swimming prerequisites (page 3). The Animal Lover in You June 16-21 Entering Grades: 5-7 Cost: $340 Do you love animals? Do you want to know more about people who work with animals? Visit an animal shelter, talk with a pet store owner, and see an animal trainer or veterinarian in action. Find out what you need to do to prepare for a career working with animals and plan for your dream job! Artisan June 16-21 Entering Grades: 5-9 Cost: $340 Take out your palette and dabble with water color and acrylics, working on paper and canvas. Then choose from calligraphy, cartooning, or drawing, and round out your Artisan week with mosaics or textiles! Float Fly & Climb June 16-21 Entering Grades: 6-9 Cost: $380 Spend a week of adventure at Tweedale and beyond! You will float down the Delaware River on a tube, climb rock faces at Ralph Stover State Park, and fly down the zipline at Camp Tohi. The adventure is endless this week! Paddles & Arrows June 23-28 Entering Grades: 5-7 Cost: $320 Spend part of your morning at the archery range, and part of each afternoon in a canoe! Learn beginning and intermediate archery skills with recurve and compound bows, water safety, and the four basic strokes in canoeing. The best of two worlds!
