The \I iremen ha\e signed 11 one-rear
contract with an incre .. sc of SO cents
over the period. The first raise, of 3S
cenls. started on September lsi. However,
as of Ihb \lriting.... e have nOl. recehed
an olay from Ihe I'ay Boord.
T he second, IS cents, is scheduled for
March.
NECA and our NegotiatinG Committee
failed to reach an agreement, and
our members \lere about to leave 10
submit Ihe case to the council when
NECA made a final offer. We are ' ·ery
grateful \0 our commillee for the many
hours ~pent nO! only in meetings wilh
the eontractor~. but in preparing a case
10 prescnt 10 the council.
