Established in 1964, Camozzi Spa (Brescia) has
become Italy’s leading company for pneumatic
components for industrial automation. The

Skill and innovation
Among the numerous company initiatives is the
Camozzi Center of Excellence, established in 2007.
This center, located near the production facility in
Polpenazze del Garda, offers educational activities
to employees as well as the general public. Courses
are available at three levels of difficulty and provide
a range of subjects from the basic physics involved
in pneumatic processes all the way to product
structure and function.
The initiative functions alongside the Camozzi
Innovation System (CIS), which since 2006 has been
inspired by the philosophy of the Toyota Production
System, also known as Lean Manufacturing. This
method of process management utilizes fewer
resources compared to mass production, as it
places greater responsibility on the individuals
involved, since “there’s no one more able to
problem solve than those who work the line”.
The project involves every company division and
focuses primarily on human resource development,
product performance, new product development,
waste reduction, continued maximization of
customer service and rapid delivery.
Camozzi has always been highly dedicated to
research and development. There is no clearer
demonstration of this commitment than the C.R.C
– Camozzi Research Center. Established in 2003,
its mission is to track new technologies and trends
in developing industrial processes for those that
might be of interest to the company. In further
support of this goal, Camozzi also partners with
universities and research institutes nationally and
