With an accomplished background in environmental engineering, <strong>Alice</strong> <strong>Lenthe</strong> has worked with Merck &<br />
Co. for more than 25 years, currently as the EHS regional leader for North America and Puerto Rico. As<br />
part <strong>of</strong> her experience in leadership, she has successfully integrated EHS organizations after a major<br />
corporate merger, relentlessly championed Lean initiatives to improve her region’s safety record, and<br />
led the creation <strong>of</strong> an EHS initiative that today serves as a model elsewhere in the company.<br />
A board-certified environmental engineer, Registered Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Engineer, and Lean Six Sigma<br />
Executive Belt, <strong>Alice</strong> has excelled in fostering productive relationships with a broad spectrum <strong>of</strong> people<br />
and organizations, including bargaining unit employees, NGOs, and regulatory agencies. Her expertise<br />
has taken her into most facets <strong>of</strong> environmental engineering, from solid waste management to highlevel<br />
regulatory negotiation.<br />
<strong>Alice</strong> earned her B.S. in civil engineering from Lehigh University. Her pr<strong>of</strong>essional affiliations include the<br />
<strong>American</strong> <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong> Civil <strong>Engineers</strong> and the <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong> Women <strong>Engineers</strong>.<br />

A sought-after speaker, Corey has presented to such influential organizations as The World Bank, The<br />
Conference Board, and The Brookings Institution Center for Executive Education. Her interviews and<br />
quotes have appeared on NPR, Good Morning America, and The New York Times.<br />
As an author, Corey has published on a broad range <strong>of</strong> topics, from the impact <strong>of</strong> downsizing on<br />
workplace environments to measuring the success <strong>of</strong> inclusion efforts. Her work on career-life-family<br />
integration has been inspired by her role as a proud mother and stepmother <strong>of</strong> seven.<br />
Corey received her bachelor’s degree from Vassar College and her master’s degree in education from<br />
Fitchburg State College. She is currently at work on her Ph.D. She is a member <strong>of</strong> the <strong>American</strong> <strong>Society</strong><br />
for Training & Development, Net Impact, the NTL Institute, the Organization Development Network, and<br />
