It’s a Great Day (Mrs. Besser’s class)
Wake up in the mornin' and I jump out of bed.
Time to stretch my body from my toes to my head.
It's a great day! And I'm feelin' good.
Now I'll exercise like I know I should.
Stretchin' and a-‐yawnin' as I open my eyes.
Got to get in gear for doin' my exercise.
It's a great day! And I'm feelin' good.
Now I'll exercise like I know I should.
(speak) Gotta stand up tall and stretch my arms out wide. Gonna twist my body from side
to side.
Right side, left side, one more time. Stretch and stretch, it's feelin' fine.
Right side, left side, that's the gist. Feels so good to stretch and twist.
Now I'm gonna touch my toes. Knees real straight, that's how it goes.
Up and down and up and down. Bendin' to the rockin' sound.
Now I'll straighten up my back. Time to do some jumpin' jacks.
One, two, three, four, try some more. Five, six, seven, eight, doin' great.
Time to start my joggin' pace. Gonna jog right here in place.
Heart is pumpin', yes, sirree. Joggin' sure is good for me.
Exercisin' sure is fun, but you have to cool down when you are done.

(sing) Sure am lookin' forward now to startin' the day. Lots of things to do, it's time to get
on my way.
It's a great day, don't want to be late. I'm energized, and I'm feelin' great!
(shout) GREAT!
I’m a Helper (Mrs. Essen’s class)
I’m a helper, I help at home and school. Yes, ev’ry day I have jobs to do.
First, watch me dash to take out the trash.
I’m doin’ what I know I should, ‘cause helpin’ makes me feel so good.
Yes, I’m a helper, I help at home and school. I’ll gladly do anything you ask.
I’ll help on the bus and I’ll earn a plus, ‘cause I’m the one who’s up to any task.
Just give me a chance to water the plants. I’ll clean the fish tank, too.
Then with a zoom, I’ll clean the room. I’ll do anything you ask me to.
I’m a helper, I help at home and school. My services are always in demand.
Big job or small, anything at all, because your wish is my command.
A Friend in Need (everyone sings)
When a friend’s in need just lend a hand. Try to let them know you understand.
When it’s just too much for them to bear, you’ve got to show them you care.
When a friend is in an awful bind, let them know that you’re the helpful kind
And your friendship just won’t be denied. You’ll always be on their side.
A friend in need is a friend indeed. When somebody’s feelin’ lower than low,
Just rush to their side with arms open wide. Show them you care and you’ll be there.
When a friend has had an awful day, let them know you’ll stick around and stay.
That’s the one thing that a friend can do. Show them you’ll help see it through.
A friend in need is a friend indeed. When somebody’s feelin’ lower than low,
Just rush to their side with arms open wide. Show them you care and you’ll be there.
A friend is someone who can’t do enough to help you through it when the goin’s rough.
When you find that all the chips are down, they’re the ones hangin’ around.
A friend in need is a friend indeed. When somebody’s feelin’ lower than low,
Just rush to their side with arms open wide. Show them you care and you’ll be there.
You’re hangin’ in through thick and thin. You’ll be their friend, friends to the end.
(speak) A friend in need is a friend indeed!

Squabbles and Hugs (Mrs. Sorensen’s and Mrs. Larkin’s class)
(refrain) Squabbles and hugs, squabbles and hugs, happens to fam’ly and friends.
First, you’re fightin’, but soon it’s alright and you’ll all be huggin’ again.
Squabbles and hugs, squabbles and hugs, happens to fam’ly and friends.
First, you’re shoutin’, but there’s no doubtin’ you’ll all be huggin’ again.
(spoken) Brother takes your fav’rite toy. You call him a naughty boy.
Mom asks, “What’s going on in here? You both have to learn to share.”
Don’t you cop an attitude. Try to show some gratitude.
Parents know what’s right to do, and they only want the best for you.
(refrain)
Someone picks a fight with you. You don’t know what you should do.
Stop and think before you act. There’s no reason to strike back.
Call you teachers, they’re your friends. They’ll help to make things right again.
Try to learn the golden rule when you’re at home or you’re in school.
(refrain)
Dad says, “Kids, it’s time for bed.” You want to stay up late instead.
You beg and plead, but he says, “No, it’s past you bedtimes, off you go!”
You fell mad as you stomp away. You want to stay up late and play.
But when you turn out the light, here comes Dad with a kiss goodnight.
(refrain)
You’ll all be huggin’ again. You’ll all be huggin’ again.
All be huggin’ again.
Good Manners (Mrs. Wilk’s class)
Manners, good manners.
If somebody does you a favor, there’s something that you ought to say,
“Thank you very much.” It’s the magic touch, and really can make someone’s day.
If you need to get someone’s attention, a few words that you’ll want to say:
“Excuse me, please, excuse me,” will get their attention in a really nice way.
Good manners. We all need to know them. We all need to show them, it’s true.
Good manners. We all need to use them with ev’ryone we know and ev’rywhere we go.
Your milk spills all over the table. It’s dripping down onto the floor.
“I’m sorry.” Say, “I’m sorry,” and next time you’ll be more careful for sure.
Good manners. We all need to know them. We all need to show them, it’s true.
Good manners. We all need to use them wherever you go. Be sure that you show

Good manners in all that you do.
“Please,” “I’m sorry,” “Excuse me,” “Thank you,”
Use them in all that you do.
One of a Kind (Mrs. Sagstetter’s class)
You’re one of a kind. I think you’re great,
with a beautiful smile that’s truly first-‐rate.
There’s nobody else who’s just like you. You’re very special, it’s true.
You’re one of a kind. You’re so unique
in the way that you look and the way that you speak.
And nobody else looks just like you. You’re very special, it’s true.
Look at those eyes. Do you realize they sparkle like the morning dew?
Look at that nose. Now do you suppose there’s anyone else as cute as you?
You’re one of a kind, like no one else I know,
from the top of your head to the tip of your toe.
And nobody else looks just like you. You’re very special, so very special.
And there’s nobody like you!
