A plan is in place for remodeling the Kibbie Dome
to better suit the needs of its student-athletes. In
September 2008, Idaho student-athletes began
to enjoy state-of-the-art athletic training and
equipment rooms, as well as three newly-constructed
classrooms.
The first phase was remodeling the old shop and
constructing a 120-seat classroom and two 20-seat
classrooms.
Next up was the remodel of the athletic training
facility and equipment room. The athletic training
room almost doubled in size with an increase of 1,680
square feet for a total 3,520. Approximately 1,600
square feet was added to the equipment room for a
total of just more than 4,100.
“Upgrading our facilities is of utmost importance
for our student-athletes and the entire Idaho athletic
department,” Director of Athletics Dr. Rob Spear said.
“Constant facility improvement is a vital piece in our
goal of becoming a premier athletic department.”
