Description: Do you have a heart for service? Come one come all: women, men, singles, married, 18 or 80! This is the
opportunity to dive in and aid where it is that God would draw us to serve! The desire is to be prayerfully prepared to be
the hands and feet of Jesus as we dive in where we are called! By placing your name on the sign up sheet, you are eagerly
awaiting the opportunity to be willing to get your “hands dirty” or even just shuffle paper all for Jesus! “Serve wholeheartedly,
as if you were serving the Lord, not men.” Eph. 6:7.
Note: Examples of projects with which we’ve participated in the past include—assisting Africa New Life Ministries with
“statements” at the beginning of each month; helping single women and moms with moving, cleaning a home when someone
is sick and/or incapacitated, minor home repairs for those in need, visiting the elderly, etc.
HOMELESS OUTREACH

Description: Serving and loving on the poor and marginalized in downtown Portland near the Steele Bridge. We prepare
and serve a meal, pass out clothing, and other much needed supplies and simply spend time hanging out.

Description: The Meal Ministry team provides meals on a short-term basis to those in our church family who are in need
because of an illness, hospitalization, new baby, personal crisis, etc. Meals can be a tremendous blessing and source of
encouragement and comfort to those in stressful situations. We are always looking for enthusiastic people to help with this
vital ministry and ANYONE can be involved… you don’t have to be a gourmet chef!

HEART TALK

Description: Heart Talk is an opportunity to gather women of all ages and stages of life at Grace Chapel to talk about
those issues that are relevant to our lives today. In the past we have talked about identity, defining our journey with God
and the character of God.
ME, MYSELF AND LIES: A THOUGHT CLOSET MAKEOVER

Description: We are excited to fellowship and study God’s word with the women of Grace! Our desire is to grow our relationships
with God and with each other as we dive into a study that addresses issues all women deal with at one time or
another. Details are still being worked out but we plan to offer childcare so that women of all stages are able to attend.

We believe discipleship happens best in community. We want everyone to find a place to process with others what it
means to experience and express the essence of Christ. There are many available groups, but if you are having trouble
finding a group, please visit the ‘LOST & FOUND’ table at the launch.

The best way for a group to get started is when one or two couples get excited about inviting people into their home to
process their journey with the Lord. Our facilitators are those who lead a group in processing what it means to experience
and express the essence of Christ in the context of community. We are always looking for individuals who are called to
