vision loss is limiting what you want
to see, we are here to help.

The Chatswood Low Vision Clinic is
a free service. A referral from an eye
specialist or doctor is not necessary,
however it can be helpful.

Chatswood Low Vision Clinic is a
demonstration and assessment
clinic that is well-stocked with high
quality aids, such as:
• Spectacle magnifiers
• Clip-on magnifiers
• Hand-held magnifiers
• Stand magnifiers
• Pocket magnifiers
• Various lamps and lighting
• Magnifying lamps
• Video/digital magnifiers
• Monoculars
• CCTV
At the Chatswood Low Vision
Clinic you will be seen by our
orthoptist and optometrist, who
specialise in low vision, and will:
• assess your current vision needs;
• recommend aids to assist you in
your chosen tasks;
• provide a referral to Guide Dogs
for orientation and mobility or
further low vision services, if
needed; and
• recommend referral to an
ophthalmologist or optometrist if
required
Follow-up and review
appointments are also available.
