For Aboriginal students entering St Luke’s College Semester II 2012
1. WHAT DOES THE SCHOLARSHIP PROVIDE
The Scholarship will provide the successful applicant with financial assistance for the undertaking of studies at
St Luke's College.
The financial assistance takes the form of free tuition, books and uniforms.
2. WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Scholarship will be offered on the basis of the following criteria:
1. Aboriginality
2. Desire for a St Luke’s education
3. Sympathy with the College’s values
4. Demonstrates a sound foundation for learning
5. Attends school regularly
6. Aspires to complete Year 12
7. Has the capacity to lead in the community
8. Financial need
Hence, the Scholarship is awarded on a basis of equity as well as performance.
The Scholarship is not an academic scholarship, although academic performance is a part of individual
candidature. The College reserves the right to withhold the Scholarship should, in its view, there be no
applicant that suits the criteria.
3. APPLICATION AND SELECTION
Applicants must complete the Application Form and provide any documentation requested on the form.
Applications must be received by the closing date June 22 th 2012.
Scholarship Applications must be sent with the College Application Form.
ALL APPLICATIONS WILL BE MARKED AND TREATED AS CONFIDENTIAL.
Applicants will be requested to attend an interview, together with their parents/guardians, at the College at a
suitable time.
Successful applicants will be notified by phone or mail.
