Trailer Script - Scripped

BRIGHT WHITE SCREEN
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Once, we worshipped them as gods.
As the words are spoken, they appear on the screen.
CUT TO:
BLACK SCREEN
Images appear in quick succession of a being of white light
holding a crackling lightning bolt, an ocean wave rising to
form a giant man-sized figure in the midst of a thunderstorm,
a beautiful woman, barley covered in silken robes reclining
on a luxurious bed, a massive, dark-skinned man hammering
steel on a forge.
CUT TO:
EXT. SUNLIT HILLSIDES
The view pans over green hillsides on which lay ruins of
Greek temples.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
In time, we left them behind,
moving on to other ways of
understanding the world...
CUT TO:
INT. MILITARY COMPUTER COMPLEX
Uniformed officers sit at consoles in a dimly lit room when a
door opens and an officer steps in. He is COLONEL STEVE
TREVOR.
OFFICER
Colonel Trevor? Welcome, sir. The
satellite data you requested is
ready.
CUT TO:
INT. LARGE CAVERN
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Yet some things die very hard...

A large, lumbering figure stirs in the background, metal
clattering as it sits up. Red eyes burn as it lifts a massive
sword.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
Some things adapt.
The figure alters his form to a well-dressed middle-aged man,
the sword becoming a walking stick, as he walks out of the
cavern.
CUT TO:
EXT. PARADISE ISLAND
A sweeping view of an island doted with ancient Greek
buildings sweeps down to an open air arena where two women
battle with swords and shields.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
But not everyone forgot.
The women continue to battle.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
Preserving...
One of the women stumbles and falls to the dirt.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
Watching...
The other woman steps forward and places her sword at the
throat of the prone woman.
CLOSE UP OF DARK HAIRED WOMAN LOOKING DOWN WITH A FIERCE LOOK
ON HER FACE.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
Preparing...
CLOSE UP OF QUEEN HIPPOLYTA, A BEAUTIFUL MIDDLE AGED WOMAN.
Diana!
HIPPOLYTA
The dark haired warrior reluctantly turns to face Hippolyta,
who stands at the edge of the arena. She is PRINCESS DIANA.

HIPPOLYTA (CONT’D)
He’s awake. Hades walks the earth
again, and they are not prepared.
CUT TO:
MONTAGE OF MILITARY FORCES FIRING ON ZOMBIES, PANICKED CROWDS
RUNNING THROUGH THE STREETS, A GREAT THREE-HEADED DOG
GROWLING, PERSONNEL IN HAZMAT SUITS RACING THROUGH A
CORRIDOR.
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Death rises, and the world spins
out of control.
CUT TO:
INT. AMAZON COMPLEX
Amazons are seen monitoring events all over the world, using
what appear to be magical devices.
CUT TO:
INT. CONFERENCE ROOM
Hades smiles serenely at a bank of screens showing conflicts
all over the world.
CUT TO:
INT. GREEK TEMPLE
NARRATOR (V.O.)
Out of the ancient myths comes a
woman...
We see a sword being sheathed, a glowing lasso strung on a
belt, a gleaming bronze helmet sliding over dark hair, golden
bracelets being snapped into place.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
A warrior...
From behind, we see this figure hurtling through the sky as
she lands on the Washington Mall as a crowd gapes at her.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
A legend...

CLOSE UP OF DIANA RUNNING THROUGH A COLLAPSING CRYPT AS
SKELETAL CREATURES PURSUE HER.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
A champion...
Diana, in a hallway of the White House, deflects bullets
fired by Secret Service agents.
NARRATOR (V.O.) (CONT’D)
An amazon...
Hades slams his fist down in a desk, his face twisted with
fury.
HADES
(screaming)
Bring her to me!
CUT TO:
WHITE SCREEN ON WHICH APPEAR “WONDER WOMAN” AND “COMING SOON”
IN GOLDEN LETTERS

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM
Steve Trevor sits across the table from Diana.
TREVOR
So I hear you can fly, all by
yourself?
DIANA
(sarcastically)
No. I use an invisible plane.
