Harris Teeter “TIE Logo Contest”
OFFICIAL RULES
DESCRIPTION OF AWARD: Harris Teeter would like your school to help us
celebrate our 15 th year anniversary of the Together in Education(TIE) program. We
are in search of a celebration TIE logo that will be used during the 2011-2012 school
year. This logo will be used on our website and other marketing materials for the entire
year.
ELIGIBILITY: Any student who attends a TIE school will be eligible to submit artwork for
this contest.
CRITERIA: Must contain the words Together In Education. Artwork will be accepted in
electronic formats only. Artwork created on paper will need to be scanned in or a picture of the
artwork will need to be taken with camera and uploaded. Artwork files will need to be attached to
an email, the largest file that we can accept is 5 MB. All electronic files that are uploaded can be
in any of these formats (GIF, TIFF, and JPEG). Artwork needs to be scanned in at 300dpi. If you
have a file larger than 5 MB, you will need to zip it, or it will not be accepted. Email all files to
TIElogocontest@harristeeter.com. All entries need to include the school name, Together In
Education number and the student’s name.
SUBMISSION PROCESS: There are no limits to the number of submissions each school can
have. Each individual student is limited to one submission. All entries will need to be uploaded
no later than March 14, 2011. Email all files to TIElogocontest@harristeeter.com.
JUDGING CRITERIA: Submissions will be judged for prizes. The decisions of the Judges
are final. The decisions regarding the Contest including, without limitation, rules, eligibility,
contestant selection, program production, competition format, contestant elimination and award
of prizes, are at Harris Teeter, Inc.’s sole and exclusive discretion, are final and are not subject to
appeal. Harris Teeter, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify any contestant for any reason including,
without limitation, any contestant’s tampering with the application process or the operation of the
application process, threatening or harming anyone involved in the competition, being related by
blood or marriage or having a business or personal relationship with any judge at any level of
competition.
GENERAL RULES: Employees, officers and directors of Harris Teeter, Ruddick
Corporation, their affiliates, parents or subsidiaries, their advertising and promotion agencies and
their immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each are not
eligible. All federal, state and local laws apply. The promotion is void where prohibited by law.
No substitution or transfer of prize(s) permitted.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE: Harris Teeter, Ruddick Corporation,
their affiliates, parents and subsidiaries, and the employees, officers and directors of all such
parties assume no responsibility or liability for, and all entrants agree to release and hold them
harmless from and against, any damages, injuries, losses, claims or causes of action of any kind
arising from participation in this Contest, the operation of this Contest or the acceptance,
possession, use or misuse of the prize.

Prize Value:
Student: $100 Cash prize for the Together In Education Logo contest
School: $1,000 Cash prize to used as school deems necessary
Please Note: All submissions entered in the Contest will become the sole property of Harris
Teeter. Harris Teeter is not responsible for lost, damaged, or misdirected submissions under any
circumstance. Harris Teeter will not return any submission, so please keep a copy of your
submission if you want one. Harris Teeter reserves the right to destroy all submissions once the
contest has ended.
