Lessons from M3<br />

(MDT Monitoring)<br />

• Data storage problems (slow access to tape)<br />

• Trigger prescaled (~60) due to <strong>da</strong>ta writing speed!!<br />

• Lack <strong>of</strong> calibrations available for online and <strong>of</strong>fline studies<br />

• Official procedure very slow (month) -- <strong>of</strong>fline calibration centers<br />

• Srivas calibrated with online <strong>da</strong>ta --> FAST<br />

• Detector and <strong>da</strong>ta quality monitoring<br />

• High level monitoring (<strong>of</strong>fline, tracks) }Flying<br />

• Low level monitoring (DAQ crate level)<br />
