namenl March 28 to 31 on the Ambassador<br />

Eight teams from across the United<br />
States were in the tournament.<br />
Teams had to win both their district<br />
<strong>and</strong> their December finals to qualify<br />
for tile trip to Southern California<br />

Churches sending teams to the<br />
tournament were Amarillo,. Tex.;<br />
Chicago, m.~Little ' Rock, Ark.; Macon,<br />
Ga.; Peoria. m.; San' Gabriel<br />
Valley, Calif.; Tacoma, Wasil'.; <strong>and</strong>;<br />
Youngstown, Ohio.<br />

Thursday evening between Tacoma<br />
<strong>and</strong> Long Beach, Calif. Tacoma won<br />
43AJ <strong>and</strong> qualified for a berth in the<br />
national tournament, which began<br />
the next morning.<br />
